It was a good day in coco's bar yesterday. We walked down from arroyo de la miel and so lots of blades in different bars with their flags. Also saw cars driving down main road with blades flags on show, a brilliant turn out yesterday for a friendly match in Spain, in the middle of a forest, just shows how special this club is. Don't get the comment about england flags and imagination, when we're in a foreign country, guess everyone can have an opinion.

Can you put a figure (approx) on how many Blades were at the game ... honest guess if at all poss, not a W*****day "millions" one please ;)
 
Wilder reckoned 750 and he was Appeh

 

He spoke to me that fuckin idiot pig fan, told me he had popped in to work especially because the blades where there, then said they would have brought more, typical prick, told him to fuck off and go chat with a Spaniard and bore them with his bollocks.

As for numbers, wilder said about 750, which was probably about right.
 
Drove down from Cadiz with the missus, stopped off for Tapas and a beer in Marbella en route. Great to arrive at the stadium in the forest with the Blades in full song! The Spanish fans looked a bit shell shocked by the turnout, and the football we played. But generally they were really friendly, not the police though! Mind some of our lads had a bit too much pop on board at the start.
Fantastic team spirit was evident in the pitch and to knock over a decent Spanish team on their own training pitch is a testament to how far we've come in the last 12 months. Fabulous evening out, in spite of 2 1/2 drive back afterwards.
Onwards and upward!! Great times ahead.

I'd say there were between 1500 and 2000 in total and Blades were about 50% loads like me just turned up and paid on the door, we were allocated one side which held 750, according to the ticket numbers, and there were several blades in their side.
 
I loved wilder's post match interview when he said that a couple of the new lads were surprised to see so many blades fans there!!. Thomas won't have been used to that kind of following even at an away game with Hartlepool!!. Baldock wouldn't have seen anything like that with mk plastics. The new lads are Definitely in for a shock at the first home game and then at the riverside!!. Utb
