The most famous one was Ronaldo's at the Bramall Lane end for Manchester United in 2006, which features in many You Tube 'worst misses' clips. I also remember Gary Lineker missing an absolute sitter in front of the Kop to everyone's delight (when he played for Spurs) but I can't remember if it was an open goal. What is the worst miss you have seen at Bramall Lane?

Didn't Michael Owen miss a sitter (not sure if open net) in the League Cup game in 2003?

Febian Brandy's against MK Dons (was it?)was pretty bad.

This abomination has to be up there.

Not at the lane but Boxing Day was it a bad miss by mcphail or was it a world class save by bobby blunder

Forte. Was it against Carlisle?

Yep, to this day I wonder what might have happened had he scored that. If I recall rightly he then went down the other end of the pitch and got red carded. In that one match he went from being our most exciting player (MOM on opening game of season) to being reviled.

Those 3 points would have bought Weir more time and maybe, just maybe we would have turned a corner? Or maybe not? :D

around 1.09 mark :eek:o_O

Anyone remember Ronaldo putting it over the bar from around 2 yards out at Lane end in the Premiership? Fuckin' useless;)

Sammon bless him, had the mobility of a traffic cone, the finishing prowess of a dead lion and the ability in the air of a dwarf in lead boots.

John Reed hit the post with the goal at his mercy, I think v Bolton in the dying embers of Bassett's reign. They show a clip of it at the beginning of the 2005/6 promotion video.
