Started off on the Bramall Lane/John Street Corner as a kid with my old man in the early 70s
Saw one or two games in the BL upper.
Progressed to the Kop when allowed to go on my own with mates in the later 70s
Moved to the South stand late 90s with with a few sorties into the Family stand.
Been a few times in the BL upper since the rebuild, but still mostly on the SS nowadays.
Kinell I'm bored.
How long to kick off?!

Started off at the Bramall Lane end with my old man in 1948. Soon learned that we could walk round, via the Cricket Pavilion, to the Kop at half time for the second half. No seats then, of course.

Not been on the Bramall Lane end (have wandered on to it from the Westfield before games to see what the view is like) . Started on the Kop, went a few times on the old John St when it was still a standing terrace, can't remember why. In recent times it's been more the Westfield corner, and this coming season I will be mostly on the South stand.

4 sides of the ground but really, it's 7 different stands;

Kop
John Street
South Stand
Bramall Lane Upper
Bramall Lane Lower
Bramall Lane Corner
John Street Corner

I've never sat in the John Street Corner & only been in the Bramall Lane Corner for the Kell Brook fight but I have watched United from everywhere else in the ground.

I've never been in that new corner bit between the South and Lane End

Never been in in the exec boxes / exterior seats on the John St upper.

John St looks far better when full imo. When they are fully occupied the 200-odd exterior seats look like a small upper tier. They are hardly noticeable when empty.

With how you all talk it sounds like most of you won't step foot an my lowlife kop.
Just that pointless pukka pie corner for me.

Never been in the Kop/John St corner or Bramall Lane tier. Only ever went on the old kop when it was all standing once, but used to stand on the john street end on my own when I was a little lad, my dad would sit in the Westfield health enclosure behind and they wouldn't let me sit with him, I loved it!

Never sat in Bramall lane lower, but did stand there twice in the seventies. Done all the corner stands and the kop and both side stands. Sat in the old John Street stand and definitely stood on the east terrace. I can't actually remember standing on the west terrace but probably did at a reserve game. Done the directors box once but never done an executive box. Can't say I'm that bothered about the exec box experience.

I never stood on the John Street Terrace West. I think I might have been lucky to miss that pleasure.

I did stand on Terrace East all the time

Kop.
South Stand.
John St Terrace. First regular spot with my Dad.First season ticket 1971=72
John St Stand.
Kop
Kop corner.
Lane end Lower.
Lane end Upper.
Westfield corner.
John St Exec Box.When Wards were sponsors.
Cricket terrace. v Hull. 1-2 1971
Touchline in front of South Stand near dugout v Pigs 1-1 draw. Gatecrashed through exec suite, just wandered through and brought me out pitchside.Pretended to be a ballboy. Was wearing a tracky. No-one batted an eyelid. Wandered down to kop at HT and sat in an empty seat when second half had been going a dew mins and it was clear no-one was using it.

The Jewson lot.

Love Westfield stand these days.

Need BL lower to complete the set.
I wouldn't bother mate, worst view of the lot. Probably worse than behind the pillars on the Kop.

Out of the John Street, BL corner, BL lower, Kop, and South Stand, the BL corner is probably the best view.

Only downside of the game I spent in the BL corner was that the game was v Wigan last season, so I had a great view of the shite we produced under Adkins.

Used to go on the kop or Lane end standing in 70's then John Street terrace in 80's then kop or south stand late 80's to late 90's,now south stand. Also been in the lane end corner.

Reckon I've done all the stands, bar exec parts of the ground (and done them on do's, does that count ???). When I started watching United, mid 70s, it was a four sided Lane. My first game was on the standing Kop, followed by a few games on East Terrace on John Street, next five seasons as we plummeted down the divisions it was usually the Eds pen in the corner of the kop next to JS terrace. Went on South Stand in the friendly v River Plate and BL upper for Leeds and Currie's return in the League Cup. First time in JS old stand was probably in a friendly v Leeds in about 1980. Only time I went on BL lower standing was in the England-Spain U21 UEFA final and first and only time on old West Terrace on JS was v Millwall in mid 80s. First season ticket was on BL upper in the fourth division and subsequently had them on standing Kop and East Terrace.

Since we've gone all seated had season tickets on BL lower, new JSS, Kop stand, South Stand and got one this season for BL upper corner (best view in the house imo)

Been a Kop man pretty much all the time. Been on South Stand and Bramall Lane a couple of times. The last time I was on John Street was 16th April 1980.

ive havent been on all 4 sides yet just missing kop for my collection. as started off 98 - 02 on then laver stand 02 - Present on family stand & sat in the away end for kell brook

Tha needs tu gerront kop an pop thi cherry lad. Tek a pyro or several.;)

did have that thought during kell brook night. need to go on kop to see what its like. because even though i love my seat & wouldnt sit anywhere else. kop is best stand id say most fans envy kop fans. even though it doesnt make sense logically. because views not as good as john st or family stand. 2 pillars in the way, facilities are apparently basic. during habitable months suns in your eyes 90mins

You have all that bang right, but watching the Blades is a punishment one must endure from cradle to grave so why should you have it easy?

I once stood in a mythical world between light and darkness, between silence and a right old din, somewhere, somehow between the Kop and the cricket pitch v Spurs in 71.
