So Max, Holmes there or not?
Holmes has travelled to Ireland, as Leonard has travelled with Southend to Spain.

Things can change quickly in football though, and luckily you can get flights back too ;)

Just seen 1 pic with 4 players on it

We need a squad photo to confirm. Someone nip over to Dublin Airport now and sort it! :)

PS Don't go to Temple Bar for a beer. they rob yer fkin eyes out

But the atmosphere is good for tourists.

I was lucky enough to go around Dublin with some locals, who took me to back street pubs that were off the beaten track and that I was the only "outsider" in, great fun.

Do it every Feb/March. About 40+ of us old has beens with many young uns showing us how to party

As you say, great atmosphere in Temple Bar, but as an old un we also do the tour of the quieter back street boozers for a bit of light relief :)

Agreed TB, but would've been better if they hadn't

No updates regards moves then TB?
No, got to admit I thought Leonard was going to be done this week.

I do know both players have expressed interest in coming to the Lane, Holmes did reject Charltons first contract, but has been offered another.

If he signs at Charlton.he will know doubt say he was never interested in moving, but that would be bollocks, he spoke to Wilder direct just after the season finished and was interested in coming up here.

Charlton doing everything to keep him.

Tapping up

Don't see how they can keep him.

He's 30 now. How many shots at Championship and beyond does he have?

Not as if a year at Charlton will be a guaranteed promotion. Both Wigan and Blackburn will have strong teams at that level.

He's just having a Guinness!

If I were Holmes I'd stay at Charlton because going for a pre-season piss-up in Dublin sounds like much more fun than the full on fitness regime our lot are enduring

No player would miss their teams pre season tour just because there is interest in them.
Them being there just means they haven't signed for anyone else yet.

Well with Dack going to Blackburn for 750k how much do we think Charlton are going to want for a player who was miles better than him last aeason....same applies for Southend and Leonard for that matter too !

Me thinks Wilder is gonna have to relax his valuation limit or walk away

Fair point, but does age count as a factor?

Holmes is 30. What's Dack's age?

But he's gone to a stupid club who pay daft money.
Got them nowhere in recent years.

I believe he only signed a two year deal as well. That says to me he is very interested in getting as high as he can now, he's coming to the end, at his peak and needs to get up to the championship.
He clearly made a shocking decision picking Charlton over us, and will have been regretting it since about November last year. He will be keen to put that right and push as much as he can to get the move.
All IMHO of course

Holmes can be as keen as he wants to do whatever but he's under contract to Charlton who hold the power. A first division club has paid 750k for a worse player than one that Charlton don't want to sell so how much are they gonna demand for him ?

Wish what you saying was true but unfortunately in the real world it's the players that hold the power not the clubs. Wish more clubs would make a stand but eventually nearly all the clubs give in.
