Thank fuck for that. Nowt against Brayford but I'm fucking sick of reading about him.

You won't be very happy to learn then that the Bramall Lane stand is going to be named after Kim Kardashian. Apparently she likes red and white stripes and once used some Sheffield cutlery in London, so she's as good as lifelong Blade.

You'd have to shoehorn her fat arse into one of the seats though.

If Clough wants him he can fork out a small fortune of the money he pissed away, buying him for that price in the first place, for a RB in league one. The twat!

Still think this is an odd decision - he's proven his ability to play in a back 3 in the championship. Something none of the rest of our defenders have done and being honest our targets haven't been any more inspiring tbf.

Still I Trust wilder and assume wilder just thinks he's not as committed as the rest of the squad sonits the best decision all round.

Wilder repeatedly said last season that he expects a high level of training intensity throughout the season and it's no coincidence to me that last season's is probably the fittest United squad I can remember. If, as rumoured, Brayford can't train consistently then it's no surprise that Wilder doesn't see a future for him at the Lane. Don't get me wrong, Brayford is an excellent player but he's not right for us any more.

Unless he takes a wage cut to the value he offers under these circumstances. Best thing United can do is make Burton buy out the remainder of Brayford's contract in full and negotiate their own deal.

I make no secret that I like Radio Sheffield, and particularly Andy Giddings (not like that!), but I'm disappointed that Gids didn't ask why is Brayford not considered worthy of giving a new chance to prove his worth to Tufty? I''m not questioning Wilder, because I totally trust his judgement, but I would like to know the rationale behind not allowing him a chance to show his qualities. I'm not surprised that Tufty is ok with him leaving but it would still be nice to know more on this, and if Brayford wanted to stay or not.

I'd guess wages as a certainty, and as a possible, questioning why his best football has pretty much always come whilst managed by the same man.

You're joking aren't you, an injury prone player on a big salary who everyone knows we want rid of. I will be amazed if we aren't still paying a chunk of his wages until his contract runs out !

I'd absolutely love to see the picture of Brayford handing the paperwork for Wilder's extended deal over to Wilder to sign :)

Sorry got that wrong mate! Just eddited it! I meant to say why has Brayford been given another chance - not another contract?!

He had a chance. When CW took over.

  • Injury/fitness issues
  • No potential to improve
  • High wages
  • Diminishing value
  • Questionable determination
  • Can't train properly
Based on the above, I understand Wilder's decision.

Think it's harsh to question his determination to be fair.

He's played through injuries while not being able to train. He's played out of position when asked and certainly never gave less than anyone else under Adkins.

I think it's a case of freeing up wages and fitness concerns. But if he comes back and wilder sees something in him again he may end up getting another go ala freemans and coutts.

IMHO won't even get a go. Wasn't seen as being committed to the cause following lethargic performances before he left. Don't think he bought into the Bladey Bladeness. Think Brayford would buy into top dog Brayford, but would be uncomfortable playing second fiddle to a full on Sharp/Wilder combo. It's probably a personality thing.

Based on his performances at the start of the season and the fact that he only seems to be able to discover his best form under Clough; i feel I'm justified to question his determination.
