Well, in the sense that he had gifts (Pace, height, power, quick feet) that should have made him a good player. The rest should be able to be learnt. But he was so bad at what many of us consider the easier parts of the game.

Potential for what? Not to be a football player that's for sure. Even Harry the Dinosaur signed players who could actually control the football and give it to one of his teammates.

Give the guy a chance yeah he was crap so was Poleon when we had him! Had a few seasons away then people wanted us to sign him after he done well at a few clubs. O'Halloran was one of those quick players that was absolutely useless with a ball anywhere in his vicinity. Someone sat near us at time nicknamed him "O'Holocaust" and took great pleasure in shouting it repeatedly when he was near the ball. He wore terrible boots as well from memory. No thanks.
