It only takes a small number of bets to significantly affect odds. All the twitter rumours will have been enough for a few dozen punters to risk a few quid just in case there is any truth to it.

A few on twitter and elsewhere seem adamant that this is happening but I just cannot see how we could possibly pay him anything like the wages he would want, unless he is willng to take a 60- 70% pay cut. Does anyone seriously think he would do that?
