If the simple rule of no home colours to predominate for away kits, 3rd kits would disappear. In the vast spectrum available, surely no red or white creates few problems and allows for plenty of imagination?
You reckon?Think Sabella would've looked cool as fuck in ANY shirt!
Hahahaha!You reckon?

Remember watching this game, would like to know if this was Pigs or Puma's idea to come up with colour combination of white and black for a game at NewcastleYou would still get some form of clash on occasion. Remember that season that Newcastle played Wednesday at home and they both played in away kits?
Apparently this was deemed a clash:

And this is definitely a clash (despite Weds having no black in their home kit):

So Weds designed a special shirt (In white, with Black trim):

Which was still deemed a clash with their home shirt:

So Newcastle played in their away shirt (which was blue). I'm not sure what combination was worn at hillsborough though.

That properly smacks of the 'template' shirt that it is.
Last years away shirt was our first non-template away shirt since adidas came in. What I mean by that is the main body of the shirt where we chose black with orange pin stripes. All other away shirts have been 100% templates where all we've chose is the colours.
Having said that, I'm still after that yellow/black third shirt in a medium. Regarding this years away shirt I'd be delighted with a yellow (failing that, white or black) version of this, with the red stripes, collar and sleeve cuffs.

Stupid arse pigs. OK for the dim witted, striped home, solid away. Though for the life of me I can't understand why the two home shirts were deemed a clash. No issue for them now the dolphin killer has got rid of stripes.
I'm certain well not get owt as nice as either of those. That^^^ 100% It's like a remake of the 70s Sabellea Admiral one

Problem with many shirts is that they don't transfer very well onto a computer screen. Birmingham's home shirt uses the same template, a close up is here. It's the fabric when you see the shirts in the flesh that make it "less bland" that it looks on screen.I hope we don't get anything as shit as this. That piping is horrendous, looks old fashioned and not in a good way.![]()
What do people prefer as the main colour on our away shirt? I think I know what the answer will be.
Mine is solid Yellow or White with red trim.
Vote away.
This may help refresh your memory of your favourite one. (83 or 86 for me)

Love this mattbianco1 cheers for sharing. My first away kit was the purple and yellow 95-97 avec kit and I also loved the 98-00 yellow and black le coq sportif kit.
Does anyone know anyone selling 93-95 purple and teal laver away kit? I would love one of those bad boys.

Their white away kit has actually got a slightly different colour white on the sleeves to create a hooped effect:

Either of those, in yellow and red would look quality. Or even white with black
