Season DVD

All advertisments are hidden for logged in members, why not log in/register?

Think it's fair to say that demand will be high for the end of season DVD - the club could make an absolute killing, hope they don't just show the goals but put in all the end of season footage from the town hall etc.

When will it be out?
 



No doubt they'll cut out most of the goals conceded as usual, because it's just too upsetting to remember that we ever conceded isn't it....
 
There isn't going to be one which is a shame I think. I emailed today response -

We have looked at the possibility of an end of season DVD, but due to rights issues and production costs, plus the fact that the norm these days is that people do not buy DVDs, it would not prove cost effective… especially as every goal from the memorable season is available for free on our You Tube channel.

Cookson is lazy, he can't be arsed is the real reason.

Costs excuse is bollocks, produced these for years before he got the job.

And how does he know they won't be cost effective, market it right and they'd sell a shed load.

A souvenir of a unique season, with every goal, interviews, car park celebrations, town hall, all in one handy package.
Could have been.
 
Mr Cookson, I's buy a DVD, memories for life to pass down the generations.

I could knock one together very cheaply (higher than dvd res) however, it might cost me an absolute fortune when the rights holder gets involved - therefore I don't.

I do agree that it would be great to do one, but I doubt somehow that it's just that Kev can't be arsed to sort it!

I think you'll find they're probably in chronological order on YouTube ;)

Although you are right, I'd rather have a DVD aswell, with the Radio Sheffield commentary added to it. In fact no, make it a Blu Ray so we can watch it all in glorious High Definition.
 
1 Download all clips from Youtube
2) Use movie maker to join the clips together, preferably adding some plinky plonky techno / thrash metal (your choice)
3) Upload to Pornhub under the title "21 club(er)s getting fucked hard for months"
4) ???
5) Profit

Sorry if I sound thick but if the club already have the clips why can't they put them on a DVD?

Serious question...would a random YouTube user be allowed to add all these videos to a playlist, or would copyright etc get in the way? I have no idea how all this works, but assuming YouTube's TOS would allow it, I'll definitely look at making such a playlist :)

EDIT - this assumes all the videos are already on YT, and the owners of the rights etc will be shown on the page for each video.

Rights and terms of usage I'd expect.

Rights to content isn't as simple as to if you have it or not, otherwise I'd be flogging shit loads of coverage from over the years :)

We had one on here, in a media section with all the videos embedded (including ours from matches) so you didn't have to leave the site, but no bugger used it, so I've hidden it :)

You may have to "unhide" it - some are experiencing withdrawal symptoms already ........

The occupants are getting cranky ............. :eek:
