I missed all 3 goals against Bradford as I was concentrating so hard on a patch of the Desso around the KOP end that caught my eye.

During the pitch invasion I stole a handful and have made love to it every night since.

On the Bradford City forum 2 weeks ago there was a thread discussing about how impressive our pitch was compared to theirs.

Many Bradford fans were saying they think their club should invest in a desso as it's clearly worth it and helps teams play better football.

In all fairness anyone who used to watch us in the 80/90's will appreciate how different things are now with the Desso pitch.

Its and expensive business, i went to a player sponsors thing at the Lane and it was interesting to hear that we also have x4 Desso pitches at the Training Ground, i'm guessing the £1m investment would have covered these pitches as well.

Money well spend in my opinion.

Money well spend in my opinion.

Certain posters will disagree on the basis we have won away games not playing on a Desso. That makes it a complete waste of money apparently as there is no way that a good team can play even better on a good consistent surface.

When I was a lad in the 70's and 80's the pitch for the first game of the season would not have been as good as it was V Bradford :-( UTB
