In Wilder We Trust HAS to be the mantra for all Unitedites after this season. If it's what he feels we need, I'll support it.

But it's staggering that after finally removing the shackles of this God-forsaken division and heading forward in a positive, upwards direction, we might want to bring all that baggage up with us. Baggage I thought had finally been dumped once and for all.

There's also the football side of it, as in, he's barely fucking played any.

And this one which, even with the positivity around the club at the moment, scares me a little bit;
The 500k fee is the joke, never in a month of Sunday's would we pay that. The princes pants have been down a few times, can't see Wilder allowing that to happen again.
If he's signing then Wilder must be happy with it.
The last thing. McCabe and the Prince want is to lose Wilder and he would not tolerate interference regarding team recruitment.

Evans manager said only last week that his body as yet can't cope with playing football after being out of the game for 3 years. What's going to change over the summer?

Personally I was all for him returning when he was released but we've moved on now. If this is true and Wilders decision I would suspect he may have canvassed opinion within the squad as player unity is high up on his agenda. If it isn't his decision I wouldn't be surprised to see him walk away. McCabe has the best interests of United at heart so surely even he isn't that stupid? All will be revealed soon.
If it's genuinely Wilders choice then I'm cautiously happy to back his judgement. He has worked had to unite the club. I just hope this won't divide us again

Me again....think I'm shocked! It's been all good news for weeks, all party and happiness. This just doesn't sit right in the middle of it all.

Take all the hype and shit out of the equation and just look at the football.
He was a great player, missed a LOT of football. Came back, had a bit of an impact early doors for Chezzy but been injured a lot, and not at his peak at any time.
500k, though it seems a chunk isn't in terms of Champ sides of our size. So I query if this is possibly a cheap signing of a "potentially" international quality player.

If Wilder and his transfer bloke have said that he is the right player, then we have to trust them. If he ends up injured, or an impact player, or even part of a flexible 4/5 striker team for differing tactics it's not a huge wedge of budget....I hope

We've had players with far worse morals in the past. The hypocracy of fans eh?
I reckon there's something going off behind the scenes and it's not purely a football decision.

Although Wilder seems to be able to get the best out of his players.
We've already seen with our own eyes that Ched at his best is upper Championship/ lower PL standard, so £500K might be a decent gamble.

If Biggs is correct and it's been going on I the background for a while then Wilder will have known for a while and thus no chance of him leaving because of it.

That's the only positive spin I can put on this.
