Will be bringing a Spireite along with me on for the Chezzer game who has a soft spot for dem Blades.

Likely to do Fanny's pre-match then the Cricks if either is open, but unsure where to take him after the match. Ideally somewhere with good craic and busy where there'll be a bit of a celebratory sing song.

Seen mention of The Barrel & Albion being lively, anyone have any other decent suggestions?

There's plenty of room in The Sheaf carpark for a good sing song and it's right next to the road, the "lager" isn't the best though.

I'm travelling up on the Saturday for a night out with my lad before the match. I've been recommended the Fat Cat and Sheffield Tap for decent beer so would be interested in others opinions.

Don't like the Sheffield Tap at all. Very expensive.
Devonshire Cat is good and as you probably know all Wetherspoons sell a good range of cask at unbeatable prices. Sheaf on Eccy Rd the nearest to the ground.

Question is though, will Rodley face repercussions for buying an away fan a ticket in the home end?

And will this Chesterfield fan receive a banning order and a criminal record?

If he launches into 'Zigger Zagger Zigger Zagger Chesterfield', I'll lamp him one myself I promise.

He's paid his dues and been to plenty of Blades games.

Depending on your taste (and budget!) Sentinel on Shoreham Street does some decent beer.

Any others on here fancy meeting? I for one would like to put faces to names. I'm not a serial killer or owt. Promise.
For a gentle introduction try forum footie first, although a fully comprehensive Westfield health plan is recommended

The Albion and the Cremorne were excellent Monday, although I hope the Albion is better stocked as we drunk it dry of lager!

I got booted out of the Sheffield tap for some over exuberant chanting of the Jack O Connell song on Monday.

When were you in there, what time, like a morgue after the match ? Looks like I missed all the fun :(

No he will be applauded for keeping a bandwagonjumper out.

Spent best part of a week in our Dublin office a few years back and never heard it once!
Plenty of "fancy a jar later" but not one real Irishman suggesting any craic would be involved.
Out for the crack/craic ,has 2 different meanings in Sheffield

The issue with the Tap in this respect is that they are adamantly NOT a "football" pub. As such they have a zero tolerance policy on chanting, singing etc. They don't generally allow fans in colours in either.

Loved the Tap when it first opened but it's shite now. Only the fab interior in the newer room makes it worth the visit.

Great selection of bottles but they want your pants down and they're not pulling them back up.

Usually surly bar and door staff too.

York Tap is miles better.
