Which one are you?

1. Play full strength trying to score as many goals as possible to win all 3 games.

2. Play the fringe players (players with less than 15 starts this season) so you can have a proper look at them before the dreaded retained and released list?

I can't see any argument for (2).

Tufty sees these guys in training every day so unlike us fans doesn't need to see them in a match to make a judgment call.

If he doesn't know enough about his squad by now he never will.

I expect after resting some in the first half vs. Northampton and then changing it up again yesterday it's with a view to playing a full strength side vs. Bradford. The players that have made up our first choice deserve to be on the pitch lapping up the applause on Monday. Let's not forget it won't be an easy game against a decent side.

Although could see a case for some of the youngsters to get some game time

Play full strength, give guys like Scougs and Wilson who contributed earlier in the season but will probably be gone in the summer a few minutes as a sub at some point in the last three games if there's room on the bench for them and the games are won. Anybody who hasn't been good enough to do anything in League 1 like Reed won't suddenly become worth retaining by getting a run-out in these games.

Give us fans a great finish to the season. 100 points is a remarkable achievement. 97 is amazing, 94 is wonderful, 91 is Champions

Play the absolute best side in EVERY competitive game.
The academy players are seen day in day out and judged by a raft of professionals as to when and if they are deemed ready to figure in the first team squad. The distinct lack of any this season tells us all we ned to know.
FFS McNulty gets on the pitch in advance of any of them that aren't on loan elsewhere.
But hey, GIEMALLAFUCKINRUNANDFUCKTHERESULT

Full strength side, but Bradford's season is still well and truly alive, which is why I wanted the title wrapped up today. We all agree that the away fixture was one of the games of the season, so Monday was never going to be a gimme.

Hope we get to 100, but I'd love for Bradford to join us in any way they can. Proper club, proper fanbase. If that means losing on Monday, then fuck it.

A 7-0 loss couldn't knock us off cloud 9. What a beautiful thing to be able to say! :D

Put the kids on in the 80th minute v Chez vegas when we are 6-0 up.

Perhaps non of our fringe players divides opinion as much as Reed: sure more was expected from him but it appears he has not kicked on to fulfil the early promise he showed, I have never seen him play and it would be unwise to base any judgement purely on hearsay evidence but I do wonder whether he would be better suited to play in the Championship where he may have more time on the ball and where he would not lose out in a physical battle? I understand that he has been man of the match in the under 21 games, or is that his limit leading to a slide down the leagues. Cue Pinchy. A genuine question.

If we are looking at 2 we have fucked up big style . The proper look is done behind closed doors every day of the week . The lists have already been made . In fact Knill said they started in January .

Play a full strength side, but also give Harry Chapman a run in the side to see if he is worth having on loan next season (if Middlesbrough allow)

Perhaps he should just pass go and jump straight into the Prem.

He will be going for 100 points make no mistake.....

theres no brake pedal here................

Sorry Sean, I haven't seen him as I said but I bow to your superior knowledge in this particular instance . ;)

Seen him on and off for several seasons and frankly feel he's hit his zenith. Not pacy, physically weak. Yes,can pass a ball but when we have Duffy,Coutts,Fleck,Carruthers as we stand I wouldn't shed a tear if he was released. The suggestion that a player would look better in the league above the one he wasn't deemed good enough to play in is frankly IMO insulting to those that clearly were and did.

1. 1. And 1. Again. I want this team to go down in history as the best in terms of points gained.

I wasn't comparing Reed to any of the players selected ahead of him who ,I feel are better than Reed . However, why is it insulting, if it were so, then, we should not be looking at players from the lower leagues, to possibly replace the ones we have . That is. if you are suggesting, as I believe you are that a player cannot make progress in a higher league than he is currently playing in.

My question regarding Reed was subjective, but thanks for your reply. After looking at the options you quote, it may be that Reed will be moved on, but that doesn't address the question I asked.

Your question, towit Reed might be better suited to playing in the Championship will be answered in 1 of 2 ways. Wilder selects him ahead of those I've mentioned or he is headhunted by existing Championship clubs who see him as a starter in their campaigns. Both scenarios are less likely than me shagging Jennifer Aniston imo.
I see him starting in League 2.
Time will tell.

I note that Adkins needed to see the team beaten 4 0 by Gillingham, as he felt Collins had a raw deal from Clough and wanted to try him.
Pre season not enough to see how poor the team was.

Sirius, as well as not seeing much of Reed, do you get to watch much Championship football. The idea that it's suited to technical players without much physicality seems incorrect to me.

The championship looks to be full of giants kicking lumps out of each other and is sprinkled with real quality players, often with pace who will probably end up in the premier league. If Reed can't get a game in league 1, he's got no chance in the championship. In fairness to Reed, he's 19 years old, at that point in his career, Paul Coutts was moving from Cove Rangers to Peterborough in League 1, so he's got time.

If we can get Chapman back next season that would be the first step in building the right team. Way too good for League 1
