“Animals a lot of them. One of the flares was on fire as it come across, hits a kid or something and it’s a serious injury.”

Flares do tend to be on fire, that's why they're flares, silly bastard. Except it wasn't a flare it was a smoke canister.

“Throwing flares at kids. Classy as ever”

There were no children in that area. There were fat bald middle-aged arseholes with crap tattoos trying to goad Blades fans from the outset. If one of those twats copped for it then I'm satisfied.

If that's what "kids" look like in Burslem then that place has bigger problems than I thought....

As much as I think throwing flares at opposition fans is a moronic thing to do, saying "Throwing flares at kids" like the person had the thought process or ability to aim at a child is equally baffling.

I've said this before when Wednesday fans claim we "throw flares at kids". Does anybody realise what an incredible shot it would be to hit a target with a flare from such a distance?

Port Vale in a nutshell with this comment. Goodbye scumbags.

“The only good thing about the club at the moment is we’ve still got loads of “nutters. They provide the only entertainment “
Plenty more of those type of fans in the Championship

Why announce the attendance and make our club look tinpot?”

Well said. BadBuy Jr and I had a chortle at HT, playing tinpot bingo. I think we managed a full house.

“We’ve still got loads of nutters. Say what you like (and I thought some of the actions were all for show today, namely trying to break down the metal fence next to the Police box at FT) but the anger and bravado stems from a genuine passion for the club"

No it doesn't. It stems from a shrinking gene-pool, shrunken dicks, pervasive banjo music, and envy.

Roygbiv, though I sometimes forget to say it, thank you !

Massively off topic but I also read a great quote from an Oxford fan today

"Wilder is the former style manager, although he does give trust to players and they respect him. But will that take him to the PL? Unlikely. No PL club will pick him up for a gig because he has an old-fashioned style which doesn't fit the modern game. His best chance is taking Sheff Utd there.
I'm sorry to bring up Wilder again but the contrast is very, very important. The Wilder era represents the old Oxford. A club which was constantly battling for survival, scraping by on average budgets, playing the percentages to scrape together as many points as possible. We couldn't even afford a scout for chrissakes. Appleton is the new Oxford"

The fact that they all turned up to ensure that Sheff Utd couldn’t take the **** makes me quite happy tbh.”

Eh? We did nothing but take the piss. I've never seen a sadder bunch of wankers get so wound up by our taunts. They were hilariously angry at us!
