I seem to recall Tufty stating that Coutts, Basham and Freeman would be around next season due to activation clauses.

What about the skipper ? As far as I'm aware, nowts been said.

I have to say, on the face of it, it kinda looks like he might be on his way.

So what's the story ?

Scoug and Done I'd have expected these to be off along with McNulty, from the ones who've been here a while anyway. As for the others like Clarke and Hussey who knows?

Maybe. This was quite a while ago when Scougall and Done were involved in the squad. I thought he said all those players have automatic triggers on their contracts.

When it came up before Christmas he said that they did have automatic triggers that can be activated subject to meeting a total number of appearances. There was no indication of what that is, but Scougall will surely be nowhere near meeting it.

The club are in charge of contracts not the players finally so if they played enough they get an automatic extension if they played well enough I am sure they will get a championship contract too,Wilder will not let any player he feels worthy go un rewarded also do you really think Sharp would leave? I'd put good money on him accepting a pay cut should they offer it.the guy just wants to be here.

Reason wilder is not talking about it is simple why reward people just before the job is complete? Like paying your electrician in full after he's done 95% of the work. Will he come back? We know from experience that players form pick up as their deals come to an end.

Could be that every Championship club he's played for have quickly moved him on, if CW doesn't think he can do a job at an higher level then there's no room for sentiment. That applies to all of them not just Sharp.

He was with Donny from 2009-2012 bagging 41 goals in the process.

He was with us from 2007- 2009 and consistently played out of position by Robson and Blackwell. Apparently neither really wanted him as he was signed by that football genius, Terry Robinson.

Given he was on loan at the Scabs and Reading once S'oton had made the promised land, so these can't really be counted can they? DirtyLeeds still had a year so I'm really not sure about your 'moving him on quickly' line.
