The best thing is about Wilder is he's just ordinary, one of us no more no less, if next sesson things dont go to plan I hope he gets the same amount of support and adulation, he will what ever the future holds go down in Blades history, like Harris, Harry and warnock as a king, long live the king.

He's a blade through and through, but so was Neil Warnock. Id like to think he will guide us through the championship, (I don't expect a miracle) but football is a fickle game and as we all know money talks. Yes he is the best thing that's happened at Sheffield United for a long time. Ho Hum, Lets celebrate against Bradford, lets line the streets for the open top bus and lets look forward to winning 2 matches next season. One at Hillsborough and the other at S2. UTB!!
Well done boys, we will support you til the end like a GREASY CHIP BUTTY

Warnock was a blade by name only. He couldn't even recall th words to the gcb when asked.

Wilder s the real do. Not someone ne who plays on his support and says just what the fans wnt to hear.

At worst....mid table.

Chris Wilder is destined for making a name for himself as a manager. He and his assistant are a perfect fit for the blades.
Have no fear, the blades are finally on the up

Avoid relegation and the seasons a success, but I agree I think we'll do more than that. Chris and his team have got a lot about them, bar the blip at the start they made the jump from L2 to L1 with relative ease. See no reason they wouldn't do the same next season. I'm bloody excited.

I wasn't talkin about him being a "blade" grizz, talking more about managers who are legends for what they achieved, Harry wasn't a blade either but he is still held up there with the best, wilder is now up there with th e best, thats all.

I love his mentality. He's made some very brave decisions through this season in terms of players let go, players brought back into the first team, changes to formations and starting line ups, odd substitutions, and he's reaped the rewards as games have gone on. Whatever happens in his future in management, I hope he never loses that winning mentality.

Any person who can't even recite the words to the GCB song is no blade.
If my lad can do it at four, there is no excuse for anyone who reckons to be a genuine blade and has attended the games as a kid and onwards.

Wa mocks biggest problem is that he values himself over anything else. His self opinion is the be all and end all.
Did a good job, ruined by his antics in his final 18months.

Yes forget the rest, today is all about one man

Been to the game today, onto the pitch at the end and to the supporters club awards.

Hearing Chris wilder getting emotional talking about promotion today on Radio Sheffield on way back, to seeing him start songs at the end and as getting off the coach. We undoubtedly have a good manager but he truly is one of our own.

I want us to keep CW as long as possible, this man needs a new contract and a long one at that!

Dont think Wilders contract is an issue. He has the job he wants forever. The only contracts that matter now are those of players we either retain or those offered to players Wilder wants to sign to take us to the next level.

Would be happy to see it extended.

Also want us to try and extend Fleck and O'Connell's by at least another year.

If Wilder gets a fair budget I've no doubt he'll stick around. I think he'd happily put his hand up if he bought a lemon.
If the club squeeze him to compete with his hands behind his back then I wouldn't blame him if he moved somewhere offering that.

Tufty is a Yorkshire man. He dunt waste brass.

His place in this club's history is secure, no matter what. He's done a remarkable job.

just so happy for him. My brother is good friends with him, and believe me, hes a huge blades fan, whos now living the dream. We have to give him time next season and beyond because he loves this club as much as any of us and will be trying his heart out , to be successful. We have to back him, and give him time.

Sad to say, we have a vocal element amongst our fans who will be cunts if we are not challenging the top 6 by Christmas next season. And the board, being weak, would cave in. We've been there before. So let's make sure we remember today & stay behind him.

You lot were on about getting rid of him after 5 games or so

The chains are clanking away as this loser haunts the forum, "you lot" you mean a few daft sods who didn't realise it takes time for a team to settle in, but if it suits your agenda to say the 30.000 wanted him out after 5 games then be my guest..

Yeah soz people we never had 30,000 probably was only a few

Just as some strange old man insisted on telling me after the game...

'You lot' though? Well, not me. Not even anything resembling a majority of our supporters.

Enjoy Justin Edinburgh. He might be OK for another 6 months.

WHATEVER happens next season, we stick by him 100%.

He's more than earned that.

Totally agree.
We need to treat Wilder like how we treat Bassett and how Forest treat Brian Clough.

In other words SHOW HIM THE LOYALTY he deserves.
So if we're lose 4 on the bounce DON'T start saying "Wilders reached his level" or "Wilders limited" etc.

Any personal stuff said about Wilder criticising his ability and there will be trouble in the stands.
Wilder is well on the way to achieve legendary status and he's already won plenty of goodwill and support from me, no matter what happens in the future.

We do, but because he's a very good manager, not the Bladey Blade nonsense.

One of the things I love about Wilder is

He'll only sign players with the right character and personality.
So Wilder gives them the personality test.

Wilder sells the club and tells the player what we are trying to achieve
BUT if that player is a mercenary waiting around for any club that pays the highest wage.

Then they've failed the test and Wilder loses interest.
Think that's brilliant.... gone are the days where we are held to ransom.
Wilder is hoping to create a club where players feel lucky to be here and want to join us.
