Second best to actually being there at Northampton (nay third after the Hill) BUT great atmosphere in The John Street stand, sat in the sun enjoying the game
Tried to join the pitch invasion but couldn't get my leg-over the advertising boards
What a contrast to the last one I went to v. Exeter City 2012

Only my second beam back, the first was the game at Hillsborough with Tonge's 'top corner' Free Kick and of course Akinbiyi's stunner.

Hard to say which of the two I preferred!

was great today in the sunshine.

Like going to a pub beer garden with 5000 people in it and giant TV's

I've got a couple of videos but they are massive. How can I shrink and load them ?

Did McCabe run on the pitch and do a belly slide/

I made a right balls up not going ffs

Well worth going to, a game of no bounce at the end just topped it off.

IMG_0916.JPG May sound cheap, may sound like I am a man who failed to get a ticket to THE actual game, but at the end of the day, 1500 blades made the noise, they fully deserved it to their loyalty.

But for me I'll remember the pitch invasion at the beamback, I'll remember the 20 min kick about we had where fans didn't give a colossal fuck about what they were doing. Just pure emotion and happiness rolled into one. I made my daughters day as she turned round and said "dad, this is the best day ever".

Northampton away would have been sensational, but I'll still take my memories of the beamback into my future until the day I die.

Fantastic day to be a blade.

Was under the impression we had sold in excess of 5k? Certainly far more than 1500. The stand was packed to the rafters with others in the kop corner as well. Was the next best thing to being at Northampton though. Great afternoon of celebrations in the sunshine

My lad once made a fella cry his heart out at the lane...,he was about 4 and singing the GCB. The same lad is 16 now and has been singing his heart out all day. It's been wonderful.
Two memories I will cherish.

That what it's bout for me...my kids enjoying the game as i did at their age. Seems like bloody yesterday...I feel so old.
18 & 16....lad has a possible career in the game albeit with another club. So proud of the fact he loves his blades but at 16 is still grown up enough to play his part for another club going forwards.
I don't think I would cope if he ever pulled on that shirt in anger.

Up the blades.

That photo dose the beamback an injustice .
I thought it was a great day out as we couldn't get tickets.

It was a cracking day. Living where we do, we had considered going to the "Hill", but plumbed for being at BDTBL on a day such as this. 100% right choice. What a day.

It was Gav, I wasn't sure how it would be. And only found out late last night I could make it. Top marks our club, it was a fantastic afternoon. The stewards were chuckling as the first few made for the pitch, then stood back to let us all on.

That's when the emotions starting getting to this old fool..

We did Gavlar, someone's idea to bring a ball with em and it kept getting kicked in the air while big groups of fans tried heading it, a couple of people scored a goal in the kop end, I managed to get the ball and nearly knocked a little kid's head off . Luckily his dad put his arm in the way
