So another 3 points safely secured against Coventry on Wednesday but Fleetwood forced us to wait a little longer for promotion due to gaining a good win themselves. However this afternoon it's irrelevant what Fleetwood do should we win, something I would definitely not take for granted though. Realistically you would say Northampton are safe, but they won't roll over for us and will be looking to end their own run of three games without a win.....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

EEL set for a place on the bench?

Clarke pushing for a place ahead of Hanson?

Will fatigue be a problem after playing on Wednesday? :)

Obviously there are other permutations to see us get promoted today, but in the chase for the title I hope we can get the three points this afternoon, and that Scunny can slow Bolton down. Could conceivably be 9 points clear of second with 4 to play :D :) Or not as the case may turn out. Think all 3 of us have a difficult games this afternoon, but for us I'll go for a 2-1 Blades win, somewhat in hope than expectation!

Safe journey lads and lasses, and I hope it's today.....

Yes come on the Might Blades, become the Mathmatically certain Blades today!

Hopefully today is the dag ive waiting for since that bloody play off final where i was sat in an oven for 105 mins & lose so agonisingly. Espically we got to be only club to save 3 of 1st 4 penalties & still lose. Making it twice in 1 season that it was painful

Got Northampton match programme from Lane and tell you what it's a pleasant read

"Champions elect"

"Wish them luck in the Championship next season"

"Look set to deservedly lift the league 1 title in the coming weeks" etc

Think I like this Northampton lot
Its like when you're missus says something like "yeah you go and enjoy yourself with the lads"

Nice to hear, but you're never quite sure how it will end

They seem pleased for us. Good to see them visit the forum.

4 ball-playing midfielders causing them all sort of headaches with their movement and passing all the while we'll have two attack minded wing backs bombing on. Oh and I forgot about the forward who will score 9 out of 10 times given the opportunity.

Interesting to see this line-up in action today.

Much resting, offensively at least, on the shoulders of Clarke.

Hope he's up to it !!

Looks like a 4:5:1 to me. Basham CDM behind Coutts n Fleck.

Looks a bit of an exciting line up and with Duffy, Sharp and Chapman on the bench got to say that its as strong as it gets

Hanson, I could see
Duffy, not sure about. I like Duffy, but sometimes he has a tendency to stop the flow of play
Sharp, didn't see that coming tbh despite his last 4 dry rubs

Perhaps the rest will do em good

He wouldn't be starting if he wasn't up to it. Looks like 3-5-1-1, Carruthers or O'Shea in behind Leon

I like this line up. A kick up the srse for those dropped a chance to shine for those who have started. Technical and forward thinking midfield and clarke who i think is our best finisher.

I like clarke and hope he proves why hes a bettter option than hanson.

UTB!

The Exxon Valdez is a better option than Hanson !
