Our bang average (for champions) season is back on track:

And for game 39 comparibles:

Brighton (2011) and Southend (2006) with 12 points from last 7 games were the poorest.

This is the data for the clubs that finished 2nd and 3rd for last 11 years and their final 7 game record:

Interesting to note Uwe Rossler's previous record (Fleetwood fans may worry).

Looking at the league table we are realistically only 4 wins away from promotion.

That would give us 90 points and Fleetwood would have to will ALL of their last 8 games to better that. :)

Well testing is my job. Some tell me I'm just a pedantic twat though.
Actually, Mr Pendantic, I'll take my apology back and rephrase myself. By 39 game comparable I meant how they went on in game 39 so column A is points after 38 games, column B how they went on in game 39 and column C the total points achieved. If you go back a few (ok several) pages it is all explained :)

And here are the comparables after Saturday:

And just for BusheyBlade below are the 40 game comparables (that is how they went on in game 40 (column b) and how many points (after 39 games) they were on (column a) :)

Comparables after 40 games:

And how the teams went on in game 41 (column B):

Based on how all the 2nd and 3rd team were doing I reckon 85 points will be enough for promotion but we will need 93 for the title.

Just one other interesting stat - Uwe Rösler has actually only managed three "run-ins" in England. 2011-12 and 2012-13 with Brentford and 2013-14 with Wigan. In the last six matches he achieved 8 points, 9 points and 6 points respectively. Interestingly, for 2012-13 and 2013-14 if he had managed to achieve 2 points per game for the last 6 matches, then both Brentford and Wigan would have been automatically promoted (both of them lost in the play-offs). In 2011-12 if he had achieved 14 points from the last 6 matches this would have been enough to get them into the play-offs.

Any chance of a column to track date of promotion, for those of us planning on getting/renewing ST's? :D

I've looked at it but hit a stumbling block when I couldn`t decide whether to project forwards using Season form, 6 game or 8 game form...

You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done

In a shameless attempt to 'bump' this post, I thought I'd show when we are scoring/conceding. The pattern of scoring from 61-75 mins. (over 25%) and 76 - 90 (17%) shows, if nothing else, our fitness levels.

Fitness levels, yes. I'd also say our passing game knackers teams out chasing our shadows all match.
