It would make for an exciting finale to the season though, wouldn't it? Especially if Ched started for Chesterfield.

I am a natural pessimist,

But that ain't going to happen, no chance,

stop this insanity now. Nightmare scenario is 2 margarines on the go.

Ignore the promotion is certain threads footballing gods. Just read this, this is what we're all expecting. Not promotion.

This scenario would be completely invalidated if we won tonight then.

Good news for those who are still umming and ahhing over whether to renew their season ticket or not I suppose:confused:

Not good news for those of us of a nervous disposition born of a litany of failures at the last hurdle and a total and complete belief that if any team can pluck defeat from the jaws of victory, even from the position we are in, it's SUFC!

It could easily happen. A bit of complacency tonight leading to a surprise defeat, then changes for the next game that don't work and we lose again. Then panic starts to set in and we just hoof it at Hanson, Jake Wright injures himself trying to get to a ball Coutts should have cut out, Billy misses a vital pen, Moore tweaks his groin and Long plays the last three games...

It probably won't though and there's nowt I can do to change what happens anyway so no point worrying. Que sera sera.
