What do you usually do before the match?

I used to get there really early when I was young.

These days it's to get a parking space near to the ground.

We usually end up in the car park watching the players arrive and all the prawn sarnie brigade!

Going to get a Pork Special on French from Munchies on Shoreham street will be what I do pre-match today :)

Went for a pork on french at the Boston match but Munchies was closed. Had to have chips instead!!!

:)

the old routine has changed a bit as some of the pubs changed over the years.

1: meet mates up
2: go to a few pubs finishing in the Royal Standard
3: get program
4: go inside and put bet on
5: something to eat to soak up the beer
6: take seat and get voice ready

Forgot to add... I usually get a flashing Blade if there's one out.

If Foxy pulls his finger out, this site will hopefully be advertised in the next FB :)

Watch the game and when finished clap the players off and sing along with everyone else and have a walk home with one hell of a smile on my face. Well so far this season.

It is good at the back where the singing starts, sit just about at the back ;) However you do get the occasional misery who tells you off for standing up!

Superblades there is always some room near me on the kop at back of gangway B, so your welcome to come up.

Tonight it's an early dart from work then a battle through Leeds and Sheffield rush hour.

UTB

Would love to say that i have a pre match ritual, but usually on a saturday i'm in that much of a rush trying to cram everything in to get to the pub or match on time that i don't get chance!

Night matches are a little more ritualised (if thats the right word) as we tend to get a Chinese on London Road with a couple of beers than head down.

Leave home too late, drive over from Marple too quickly, knock over a couple of sheep on Winnats Pass, head to my usual parking space, find it's occupied, scramble around to find an alternative, leg it to the ground. Then my mum's asks " nice drive over , love?" "Fine thanks....."

Mine is, 1.00pm pub for beers, 2.00pm box 6 for beers, 2.00-5.30pm beers in box 6, 5.30-7.00pm pub for beers, home and fall asleep on the sofa.

These were a thing of beauty and sometimes the best part of a match day. Them roast tatties omg!
