Lavery out for the season.

First season or not, players are judged on what they bring to games. So far Lavery has done well, but for me the jury's out, we may have seen just a glimpse of his talent and I hope he has it within him to impose his talent on opposing defences. Time, as usual, will tell if there's more to come from the lad.
I thought he was just getting into it at last. Shame.

Clarke and Chapman are back at the right time. Between them they should be able to replace him for 6 games.

I'd actually give Clarke a couple of starts, and I think Wilder may do. I don't want to see Sharp and Hanson up top every game. And Clarke's barely had a chance in a well functioning team.

If Chapman actually gets on the pitch any time soon he could have a very big impact, and show us what we've been missing all season.

A real shame. All the lads deserve to be in contention for the big games coming, even if only as bit parts when the celebration comes.

I really like what I've seen of him. He's got a lot of talent and he's one I'd be looking to hold on to.

I'd be seeing this to be a lot worse if it were half way through the season, luckily we're almost up and it isn't a long term injury so he should be alright to continue his very good progression for us at the start of next season. I think he will be a very good player for us.

Shame to lose him but it's a good job we brought Chapman back to the club, think he's the only player other than Lavs with real pace and skill
By "player" do you mean "striker" ?
If so , I agree.
If not , I would throw in Freeman, Basham & O'Connell as pacy players (but not strikers obviously).

Let's hope Livery isn't one of those unlucky injury prone players. Unfortunately evidence so far is that he is, he was injured when we signed him, has had a couple of niggles through the season and now has done his knee. It's can be the really quick ones who struggle to maintain full fitness as their muscle power puts more pressure on their tendons and ligaments.

His pre season is going to be vital as he will need to hit next season fully fit or he'll be playing catch up again.

It’s not disastrous for our season because it’s just about mission accomplished and we have other options with Clarke, Chapman, O’Shea, Done etc. who can come in and play with or around Sharp but it’s a really unlucky break for the lad who, when he has played has generally done well for us. I thought he was very unlucky to be dropped after the Gillingham game after setting up both goals. Then he made a big impact at Oxford and was rewarded with a start at Swindon where he got a goal and an assist only to be dropped again. He’s not really had a decent run in the team and now he won’t get the chance. Looks a good player to me. I hope he’s ready by pre-season to get a full one under his belt.

You've got to feel for the lad, I was hoping he'd kick on and get a few more goals, either from the bench or starting, put him in a good frame of mind for next season.
Hope he's 100% soon.

This one's an impact injury, isn't it?

True but Fleck has made 20 times more big tackles through the season and hasn't been injured , some players are just unlucky or injury prone or both. Let's hope he's just unlucky and he's due a change of luck !
