Can't agree personally.

While we were comfortable in the first half I've seen us play much much better. We barely created anything and I felt a lot of what we tried just didn't come off.

We seem to give the ball a lot and lacked urgency.

At half time we said let's hope we come out a bit better 2nd half.

I'd say they were quiet because they were terrible and brought about 3 fans.

In my opinion of course.

I agree.
First half v Scunny was some of the best football and the most commanding first half display I can remember. We were in all honesty superb, and granted we didn't beat them but we murdered a team who at the time were one place behind us in second.

We certainly dropped our performance levels in last quarter.. we never looked like letting them back in it.
Had you gone for a piss Hillmorton when Gregory missed a 1 on 1 with Moore ( brave goalkeeping I thought ) if that had gone in it could have been a very nervous last 15 mins.

I've been to very few matches were the opposition didn't have a chance.

It could have been nervous, but... They didn't score and they certainly didn't look capable of breaking us down twice.

No one is more nervous about these final few games than I. But truth be told, from early on yesterday it felt like a procession.

Onto the next game, when it starts again at the first whistle.

Just back.and biggest pain in the arse are the folk who are up and down all feckin game.....then take their bloody time while they are at it. Arrrive ten minutes in...up again 10 mins later....then back.out again at half time...back again.random stand for five minutes, then up and all up again.....Jesus Christ what the ficus is up with folk.

Then with the team 2 up....top of the league, can't even stay til the end to applaud the lads off. I don't get it.....really annoys me.

And we all know what they do at away games.

It was perhaps a performance you'd describe as 'workmanlike' or 'professional'. I thought we might really turn it on after scoring the second and it was disappointing that we dropped back. In his interview, Wilder made reference to 'tired bodies' and it's been a 'long old season' so maybe that had something to do with it.

Still, delighted with a 2-0 win. The reality is that if we beat Coventry next week, that gives us 85 points, which means that Fleetwood would have to win 5 and draw 2 of their last 7 games, at the MINIMUM, to overtake us even if we lost all our games after Coventry.

Can't agree with Harry's Game about Carruthers. He was out of sorts when he came on last night but he came on early for Wright at Oxford when we were a goal down and more than played his part in our comeback.

Hanson had a very good game, and gave there defence a torrid time. He only gave the ball away once. .

It's amazing how fans see games differently. I thought he gave the ball away a lot especially in the second half ( he often control a ball when it is at his feet if you haven't noticed) and his numerous needless fouls reminded me of Darius Henderson. I thought he was far better at Oldham

I would have taken him and Sharp off especially as Sharp was having to pull wide to gain any possession. Clarke and Chapman should have been on for me

You may right I wasn't at the Oxford game so can only comment on what I have seen.

There's is absolutely no doubt he has wonderful ability , I now want to see him for myself start a game and contribute to a convincing win or come on when it's nil nil or one one and put a performance in that wins us a game.

I think it was a very professional performance.

We got our lead then managed the last 20 minutes well without allowing them a clear chance. People talk about game management and we did that.

Onwards and upwards.

UTB

I thought Millwall looked decent up to the last third. Once we realised there was no threat we took control until Morison came on.

I find it strange that millwall went to spurs and played 442 then came to us needing a result went to a strange formation we shall just call 451. Even when Morison came on her played from the right.

A gift of a game really to what it should

I can partly agree with this. I think the first 55 to 60 minutes were great. We played like we wanted to score, and in doing that, we dominated the opposition, who were not poor. We just comprehensively and convincingly outplayed them, and the 2 - 0 scoreline was justified.
I really don't understand why we seemed to back off after that. I was never really worried, but they did come close to a goal, and if they had scored, I'm not sure how vulnerable we might have felt after that. Squeaky surely!

They came for a point after a surprising defeat at Swindon. Spurs was a 'we'll probably lose anyway so let's just have a go' approach. If they'd tried that approach with us it would have been a similar result to the Spurs game. We're better man for man and no team will outwork us or have a better team spirit.
