Lavery going for a scan on Monday...

If he's tweaked them only a little bit, he will be a month.

On the plus, Clarke is back though granted he doesn't do the job Lavery does.

If it's a month to six weeks then that would be effectively the end of his season, assuming no play offs.

Shit pitch definitely makes a difference. Those divots and hollows that appear on shit sand surfaces as the game goes on don't fill themselves, and players do ankles and knees when running at full tilt and catching one wrong.

So we're probably losing Lavery, but gaining Clarke.

It's a real blow, he's a more important player than most seem to realise.

He should have started today. We had no pace in the team at all.

pommpey was this because of the crap pitch?

No idea. Do you know?

Maybe we should sue oppositions for shit pitches. Maybe oppositions (like Fleetwood) will play better on a Desso.

Let it be known, Copes infected this thread with the Desso debate.

It's a shame to lose him for the run in but with Chapman back, Clarke fit and O'Shea looking better by the minute I am not too concerned about forward options.

2-4 weeks depending how bad. Thank god its only the medial. He is becoming a very good player

It's basically his season over then isn't it?

It's a real shame, he's been very unlucky in every way this season, in terms of injuries and selection. He's still not even had a proper run in the team. He's been overlooked too often since January IMO.

Big blow if he's out for a while. One of very few players we have with pace and a willingness to run at opponents.

Losing Lavery and gaining Clarke....

In other words, "Unfortunately we have to amputate your leg but at least you've got AIDS".
Thats genuinely the first time I've ever laughed out loud reading something on here.
Sadly it's funny and true.

Lavery out for the season would be a huge loss. After Billy he is far and away our best forward.

Damn Oldham why haven't they got a Desso pitch? the bastards.

It's barely a debate to be fair.
