I wish. Samir wasn't the only person in Swindon celebrating a penalty on Tuesday night. One of the Council's non-sleeping traffic wardens did so as well.

On the top right of the photo you can see a little street, not much more than an alleyway with room for one car. There's a little shop which looks like a very small deli but in fact a little trattoria where the local office workers eat lunch. We sat outside on a little table in the alleyway as it was packed and had the best pasta, rigatoni with a plain tomato sauce, that ive ever eaten in Italy. Large white wine, bread and water, four and a half euros each, not like the robbing tourist bars.

Been there done that. Amazing how some places just decide to be honest and refuse to take advantage. Actually found one in Venice last year. Bet it's not on trip advisor though.

To TBW57 and WhiteHawk for the taxi arrangement and pick up to Swindon yesterday, great company and banter, a cracking afternoon and evening out so very glad you all persuaded me to go in the shoutbox on monday night.. to be honest I didnt take much convincing did I, a gentle arm twist and I was there!

I lost my voice so that probably meant I was jibber jabbering away far too much without realizing it so apologies..or I was cheering on the Blades more than I thought!?

We stopped off in lovely picturesque Cirencester and just as we were walking around having a look the place from out of nowhere pops...

.... Tyler Durden who then proceeded to do a Greenwich Blade and hitched a lift off us haha!

Brilliant night, a strange game in some ways but entertaining, I went all misty eyed over Swindons old skool floodlights in each corner of the ground which reminded me of the ones Worcester used to have and miss even more now..
TBW parked his car five yards offside and ended up with a parking ticket... oh dear, perhaps he should buy a more lucky new 4 leaf clover badge for his cap!!!

Hopefully, im looking forwards to doing this all again soon!
