A minor point, however, and notwithstanding the naysayers who come on and try to say it's paranoia when Blades complain that there are some in the media who seem to want to ignore United, but why does every other game clip include extended highlights?

The clip from the rec that Walsall play on, must include literally everything that Walsall did in the match, and the Charlton v Scunthorpe clip includes build-up play that didn't even end in a worthwhile effort on goal.

Meanwhile, our clip shows literally the bare minimum that they can get away with - the goals - and nothing more. Pathetic.

I noticed how their second goal last night was almost identical to the first goal Walsall scored at their place and I was standing behind both strikers. A hard low daisy cutter straight at the keepr in the middle of the goal, both went straight through him. He needs to work on this but otherwise did well and was quite brave last night.

A good and thorough report. Well done. I wrote an email report to my son and was going to post it on here but yours was more detailed. I thought we struggled in the first half because we didn't cope well with their midfield press. In the second half they tired and their press was not effective hence we were able to play our football with the success we had. I agreed with all of your ratings except EEL who had a shaky time at the start and will, I believe, not be with us next season. He gave me the jitters a couple of times last night. I thought Hanson was ineffective. His only shot was poor as he leaned back resulting in it ballooning. Lavery was a good change for us. I thought Basham was outstanding and I would have him as joint MOTM with he irrepressible Billy. " One of our own" as we vociferously sang last night to him and Wilder. Another good night for the Blades. A shame about the lack of street parking and the awful drive up to their ground. UTB
