Lost for words, let's hope the footballing team turn up and play them off the slag heap, let's get back to the 60%+ possession, get to 2 up and bring Lavery, o'shea and carruthers on and camp out in there half until the final whistle, then let's see who the dirty, physical bastards are, getting close to Coventry and Bolton now available

A lot of it obviously comes from a combination a dislike for CW and not having seen Utd play this season.

With the possible exception of "not doing any better than his predecessors", the most mystifying comment of all is that CW is "doing ok this season". Given that Utd are 8 points clear of 3rd place, are operating to a significantly reduced budget compared to recent seasons and he's raised ~£4m from player sales, I wonder what he'd have to do to get better than 'ok' rating.

Thy're certainly a strange bunch down here, typified by them boycotting the tinpot Checkatrade trophy but then forecasting sales of ~35,000 for the final in a few weeks time.

Infuriatingly stupid comments. They deserve a 5-0 buggering for that tosh!

No chance of that mate.
They must have some defence if Wright would have only been 4 choice.
I'm on oddschecker now to see what the odds are on Blades 0 tomorrow night, then the lots going on. Inside information is invaluable.

What exactly is the dislike of Wilder based on? Because he chose to leave Bayern Oxford? That he turned down their adventures in Europe? How dare he! How dare an ambitious young manager choose to seek pastures new and select a team whose pitch is worth more than their entire squad (said very tongue in cheek)? One day Wilder may choose to leave The Blades, and when that day comes (not for many years yet I suspect), he will receive accolades that your sour, tight-lipped bollocks can never understand........seat of fucking learning? Do me a favour!!!

There's been bad blood between Oxford's fans and Wilder ever since he left for their local rivals.

That said, I think some of the seemingly OTT negative comments we occasionally get are because most club's fans forums are now aware or Roy's 'View From', and they use it as a free soap box to have an easy dig. But are we bovvvered?

Blades fans must give raucous approval of such a precocious English talent on Tuesday night.
"Appleton for England"
"Appleton for England"

“Unless CW takes Sheff Utd there or another Championship club on a Watford-esque roll, he is highly unlikely to manage in the top flight. He’s an old-fashioned manager who is a dying breed.
Appleton is tomorrow’s man. And if he learns – what, he must be 5 years behind CW in developement as a young manager – how to mix up styles of play and tactics (eg Wimbledon) and basically do the old-fashioned stuff more, I’m pretty convinvced he will manage in the PL.”

WTF?!!!
Appleton?!!!!

So CW is an old fashioned manager who's a dying breed & Appleton .... tomorrow's man ..... needs to do the old fashioned stuff more.......have I understood them right ???

He’s doing OK with Sheff Utd at the moment, but no better than most of his predecessors.

Oh yeah, silly me. I forgot we won the league in each if our past 5 seasons but decided to just stay down here for the laugh

That's the most ridiculous comment of the lot. I simply just can't understand how you can have possibly come to that conclusion

Silly sods.

Oxford is nearer to Swindon, MK Plastics and Reading, than it is to Northampton, which is 43 miles away. It's like us saying that Lincoln or Scunthorpe are our 'local rivals'.

No wonder CW left if their sense of geography is so skewed.

By the way, does anyone remember Captain Bob's hillarious 'Thames Valley Royals' merger proposals?

Without doubt some of the most deluded wrong headed things I've come across since I had the misfortune to listen to Football heaven the night Pitsmoor pig was followed on the show by Brian the Blade.

I honestly didn't think we would come across a bunch of knuckle heads to rival those of Coventry this season but that shower of shite takes first place easily.

Oh for a performance on Tuesday like Southend away now!

Swindon are Oxfords main rivals . Northampton don't even come close to Swindon in terms of enmity between the opposing sets of fans .

Either they are fantastic wind-up merchants or they really are on a different planet, we are thugs, Wilder is old-fashioned, Appleton is tomorrow's manager......

They got tommorow mixed up with yesterday .

Thankfully McCabe never got drawn in with the Appleton syndrome . Disaster . What do chairman actually see in this bloke .
