That was just bizarre!

Would it have been bizzare if we would have nicked a win?

Football fans are the best managers/players/refs with hindsight.

Could have but didn't though.
I can't see beyond we threw 2 points away tonight. Obviously hope we beat scunny but if we don't a few will be looming back at tonight.

Can't moan that he could have lost Moore....he was playing regardless. We could have played Sharp or Duffy and had them both get injured.
We move onto the next game. Win 2 draw one over the r st of season we will be very happy.

That i class as a Good night, point v a bristol rovers team who havent lost at home for 4mths & we have been able to rest players for that huge Scunthorpe game. Which isnt 2pts dropped as Scunthorpe also drew 0-0. Even if it is "2pts dropped" it was either happening tonight or on saturday & it couldve been a 6pt swing, as asking these players to play 3 times a week is what couldve happened

I know this isnt relevant even on fifa if ive got a schedule of Saturday Tuesday Saturday. Then ive made 10 changes & i even put my youth team in the europa league to save my players for the league. It priorities

Imo a draw wasn't a good result. Go out for a win against a mid table team or second place?
Bizarre imo. Wilder got lucky tonight.

The Scunthorpe game is worth 6 points to us. Win that game and get a draw or better against Bolton and it's advantage Sheff Utd.

Some good news from clubs who couldn't afford to rest players, Bolton's Jay Spearing picked up his tenth booking of the season tonight, misses the games against Bradford and against us.

Big loss for them that.

Tonight's a decent point, don't worry about Scunny we're ripping them a new one. UTB.

Well I'll gladly hold my hand up and praise wilder if we win the 6 pointer but if we don't? It isn't a given.
In my book you play for the 3 points in front of you not the next three.

Why don't we win every game? We have lost 3 out of our last 28 matches and it's not good enough! We should win every game easily.........

That's very good news, if any of their players could disturb our passing game it's him.

It is an unassailable fact that I'm clever.

If people write drivel I tell them so. What on Earth are you on about tonight? Wilder is a professional, not a numpty. He picked a team for a second tough away game in three days, knowing we have two very big home games ahead. He knows who is looking heavy legged in training; who has a slight knock that they might play through but equally might aggravate and miss the next two games.

He has that information; We don't. Every Blade of us, except one or two attention-seekers, would have snatched football's hand off if offered four points from the last two games. Those one or two favour the "look over here" photo opportunity over common sense. You are one such.

We got a very good and welcome point tonight, no question. There was nothing lucky about it either, unless you distort the word beyond its meaning.

As a matter of interest, have Scunthorpe fielded weakened teams in their last two home games against teams lower in the league than Bristol?

Why play a weakened team against a mid table side when statistically you've better odds on coming home with 3 points than we have Saturday?
That was 2 points thrown away for me.

Quite right.
We should have fielded a stronger team....like we did against Walsall and Fleetwood.

Wisdom with hindsight eh? Didn't see any post from you before the game questioning the line up?

We did go for a win - FFS! That was a very attacking line up he put out there.

Mate - we're not going to win them all. Get used to it. If the players he played aren't good enough, then they wouldn't be at the club. If they are good enough then they deserve a chance to play.

Billy Sharp has been blowing out of his arse for a few weeks now. Just because he's managed to score a free header (following Hanson's fine work) against Wimbledon and have one rebound off his leg in the previous game doesn't hide the fact that he's looked slow and off the pace. Actually, I take that back, because for some of you on here it totally hides the fact - as long as he keeps scoring some folks can see nothing further than that. But to me, Sharp looks like he needed a rest, whether he felt like it or not. He's been poor for a few games now and the lad is no spring chicken anymore. It was a good idea to rest him and I like Lavery as a replacement in this situation. He's young, quick and has an eye for goal. No problem with that at all.

I've no idea why he put Done up front though. Hasn't he got enough evidence that this bloke is NOT a striker? He'd got McNulty on the bench, who has played very well alongside Lavery in the past at Portsmouth. He missed an opportunity there to give them a go together imo.

Done has probably played his last game in a United shirt imo.

"Harriott " was my grandmothers name, she cocked her toes up in 1961, did you know her ?

Personally, I couldn't give a toss, and it will remain that way while ever we've got a number 1 at the side of our name

I think it's about perspective for me. Yes a win would have been nice obviously, but if we win the title, or make the autos by a point, then it's all good surely?
