For all the optimists out there, I have total admiration and stand firmly with you in the same camp.
This IS our year and we WILL go up automatically and as champions. Of that, for me there is no doubt.
Keep believing optimists. It's going to happen.

For the pessimists out there. I have total sympathy with you and stand in the same camp.
Yes, we're looking good for the autos, but as we know too well, so much can/may happen to rob us of what we would dearly love to be ours, so we can't, until the fat lady is singing, relax enough to say it or enjoy it as much as we'd like.
Remain quietly confident pessimists, I think it's going to happen.

For the emotionally battered out there, I understand your pain. I am in the same camp as you.
Years of let down, over-paid, under-performing mediocre players, lack-lustre defensive dross, bull-shit talking, inadequate managers are all a thing of the past. Relax and let the healing process continue. It will be worth the wait.

After the huddersfield game I sat in the beer garden of a pub in Wembley with my heartbroken and my head in my hands

Genuinely doubting if I could take any more of this .I'd witnessed so many play off and semi final heartbreak s whilst witnessing fans of other clubs celebrating I felt like I'd had my spirit broken

Watching the pigs go automatically up in our place after being far superior to them because of a fucking court case involving our best but probably most thick as shit player was a slow painfully death adding to previous knives in the heart from
Arsenal at Wembley
Newcastle at Wembley
Wolves at the millennium
Liverpool in the league cup
The pigs at Wembley
Palace at Wembley
Wigan
Chelsea
Yeovil
I'm sure I've missed some off but the great days like Leicester away and even losing to hull in the semi don't really balanced out so yes I'm a bit reluctant to start getting cocky Nd counting my chickens because I'm human and have emotions and a memory

In my opinion we are the best team in the division,so why do i have a recurring nightmare that it is all going to end in tears....again?

I hope it ends in tears...tears of joy as Billy lifts the trophy after we spank Chesterfield to hit 100 points and confirm us as champions by a clear margin.

However...I share your anxiety and I know only too well how fate and fortune have an annoying habit of kicking us repeatedly in the bollocks just when we think it's going to be our day.

Agree, bad results and bad luck will happen on the odd game
But over a season results catch up with performances

Not only based on results but also based on performances we've been the BEST team for months now
And rememberer in the JTW we

1: Now have a plan B for teams that defend deep against us.
Playing both Bury and Shrewsbury when down to 9 men did us a big favour. Fleetwood saw that we are physically lightweight up front and struggle to break down packed defences so Rosler used perfect tactics. Solution: Bought Hanson (so we now have physicality up front and a heading threat)

2: Every team could have the bad luck of injuries or players that hit poor form
Solution: Bought Carruthers and O'Shea to cover midfield and Chapman and Riley to cover wing back and winger options.

So we are pretty much covered for things that could go wrong.

Like the vast majority of us - after many years, I am, without a doubt - all 3.

I agree with everything you said. What date is my next appointment with you, Doc? ;)

We haven't been in this position for years. There's generally been one team out in front and we've been looking over our shoulders waiting for someone to overtake us. This season, there needs to be 2 teams, and that's presuming we lose form. I think we'll know a lot more by the end of the month but it's never relaxing for us until we're over the line.

I don't want to tempt the Mistress, Fate...

Goalkeeper Moore gets injured. From third choice, Long, going nowhere to being back as no.1 with the added pressure of automatic promotion performances to contend with.
I think you might have identified the source of my recurring nightmare, and no cover should Wright get injured,oh dear !!

Long's been playing well for the u23s and it's a long time since he played behind a decent defence. Not since Harry left and that 'decent defence' contained one of the worse regular players I've ever seen for us.

He'll look a lot better behind our current defence, with Wright telling him what to do.

And if he doesn't, injure him in training and get an emergency loan in.

It would be a very harsh stroke of luck to get both injured though. Possible but not that likely.

I'd have been just as nervous with Ramsdale in goal tbh, unknown quantity and didn't look that good against Bolton.

Exactly this

GCB, you state you are in three camps, does that make you very camp?

I felt uncomfortable singing the blades are going up......

Not getting all billy big time even though we should be confident, yet others still call us for being overconfident....

Waiting for the fat lady.... and she's got one foot in the door....

Who dear? Me dear? Camp dear? No dear.
Just because someone likes to associate with people of a similar nature, you automatically assume they're guilty of receiving swollen goods?
How very dare you?!!

Sound like Kim Woodburn now
