Pre-Match View From Posh

Seem to be a Jekyll and Hyde team according to their fans. If they are on their game the posh fancy their chances.

Let's hope they are not!

Got a bad feeling about these two away games coming up.

Pre match Posh view from me:

They'll be without Baldwin and Bostwick, two good players, but Dominic Ball has come in at centre half alongside Tafazolli and Anthony Grant has come into their midfield to provide the steel they would've been missing without Bostwick. They now have good quality and depth in central defence and midfield.

They have top quality midfielders and on their day they are as good if not better than anyone in the division as a creative force. Forrester and Maddison are real top players at this level and Da Silva Lopes is a huge prospect. Then there's Martin Samuelsen and his magic feet. Their strikers let them down though.

Their unpredictability and style of play make this game an exciting prospect but a nervy one too - if they play well they could easily turn us over.

Their home record is poor, and they were battered 4-0 by MK Dons in their last home game, which highlights a level of vulnerability. But they followed that up with a 3-0 win at Port Vale (last 2 goals scored after 90 mins), hopefully a result that's given them unjustified confidence. If that mixture of vulnerability and over confidence is there then it could be a great time to play them.

Given their home record, style of play and trademark inconsistency, not to mention factors like Wright starting for us and our 4000+ away support, then I fancy us to win.

Mainly due to excited Blades fans who will be filling their quota……just because they are top of a poor league. Anyone would think they are getting promoted this season. I reckon it will all go down the pan for them starting this Saturday. Here’s hopin

Yes we are excited and fuck off

We're going to drop them like a bad habit.

“I think we’ll go for it. McCann doesn’t like defensive at home, which has cost us at times because he’s played 6 attackers and it just gave us no shape, but he’s learning.”

This is absolute music to my ears - if the posh want to push up and give us space, then they are mincemeat.

We have struggled ONLY this season when teams sit back or try and do a job on us by hitting us on fast breaks.

Looking forward to it even more now............

Confident bunch aren't they?

Saying they'll win easily if the good 'Posh' turn up. Totally underestimating our position at the top of the league and 16 points in front of them. Let's hope their team are so stupid too.

Well said. My only point of disagreement is that Fleetwood didn't sit back when we last played them, at least not for large periods anyway, and they took us apart. I just put that down to a bad night though, and that we were still experiencing pwsd (post Walsall stress disorder).

Fancy us to do these.

I'm looking forward to seeing the fat dwarf from St Albans! I don't think he'll be happy.
