Is losing now and again the worst thing ever?

I am as upset & disappointed as anyone when we lose, but does that sometimes add to the drama and excitement of a season overall?

Not too long ago my family and I held season tickets to see Sheffield Steelers play ice hockey (as well as my SUFC season ticket) We had the season tickets for 9 years and enjoyed the sport and entertainment as a family.
On the year of our 9th season ticket, the Steelers won the Grand Slam, all 5 competitions entered. The success that season was enjoyable but the outcome of each match was so predictable that it detracted from the excitement of the games. It was more a case of how many would we win by rather than if we would win. It became the same as to whether we would win the competitions or not.
We felt that the excitement or anxiety lost had taken a lot of the fun out of watching so we have not renewed our season ticket since.

Please don't get me wrong, I would love to see SUFC win ANY competition but the victory is so much sweeter when there has been ups, downs and doubts to whether we would achieve it at all. For example last minute winners for us always seem more exciting than dull, walk-overs

Having said the above, I think that we have our share of blips for this season already. Lets continue the season and gain enough wins to win this league and celebrate our promotion.
