The 2017 winter transfer window, which opened on January 1, will close on Tuesday, January 31 at 11pm.

Still time to lose some dead wood. In the style of the TV & Film awards:
My nominations are

Marc McNulty - I used to rate him when Clough hated him but he seems that he is nowhere need what we want or need now.

Stephan Scougill - once was my favourite but he has lost his touch & tenacity

Chris Basham - another of my former favourites, too many mistakes but still gives his all

Coutts last year was terribly complacent but improved enormously in the early part of this season. Unfortunately gone back to his old ways and slows down our attacking moves.

Leon Clarke has not provided the physical presence we needed up front.

George Long - 3rd choice now at best. Give the lad a chance to regain form and confidence elsewhere

We have recruited better players this season that are capable of improving the team overall so I don't think that their departure now would hurt our promotion chances.

Coutts?! Bloody hell, this three game blip has really gone to people's heads.

I think McNulty is here for the season as he has played for us and Bradford. Not 100% sure but thought players could only play for 2 different teams in a season

The 3 game blip certainly went to my head. It did it in!

Please refer to my last paragraph suggesting that we now have better options. We should use them before we slip out of the promotion race.

Some of the players listed may not have promotion as their highest objective. How many of those mentioned would be able to play in the Championship? Would promotion jeopardise their income?

I let him stay he can play for the under 23's

McCuntly - A stubborn stain

Basham - A giraffe on rollerskates, a weak, cumbersome streak of piss. The most detrimental figure in the squad this season.

Jack O'Connell - Not a single redeeming quality, a slow, lumbering monolith. He'll cost us plenty more points before Aprils end.

Clarke and EEL won't be here much longer anyway so that's ok.

JOC, are you serious ? Future captain and mainstay of the team....no comment on the Scottish stick instinct ???????

You're on something

Maybe, however I do know that Corruthers and to a a degree O'Shea are far better players with more heart than Coutts as we shall see in the next few weeks.

Moore was abit tongue in cheek as your'e very easy to wind up.

Yes, I've gone positively crazy here

Coutts has been one of our best players this season and one of only a handful capable of playing in the Championship if we do manage to get up via the play offs....

If anyone goes in this window it won't be anyone important, i.e. Fleck, Duffy, Sharp. Coutts.

I would not be so sure if that will be the case in the summer if we don't go up...

Of the original list, I think we'd benefit relieving ourselves of a striker (preferably McNulty)
Long should go, as we can emergency loan a keeper (due to Ramsdale's age)
Hussey we no longer need
Wilson in fairly dubious as well, but I guess he's cover

The rest we probably need for cover.

Early 2017 candidate for embarrassingly bad OP of the year ??

With more than a few equally cringeworthy responses.

Why am I even surprised :(

UTB

Some bits of the central belt, and elsewhere (Dundee, anyone ?) not that dissimilar, tbh !

Very harsh on Scotland there, it's nothing like Syria.

For a start, Syria has a broken infrastructure, different part of the country hate each other for religious reasons, the average life expectancy is about 50 and most of the towns are deserted piles of rubble.

Whereas in Scotland......erm......actually you're right!

Until Long's contract expires or unless we pay him off who on Earth is going to want him?

Fred Karno is no longer in business as far as I am aware.

Coutts is a class act but only looks it when there are openings in front of him, which right now there aren't. Joc is as said a future captain, very good and will get better with better players around him.
