Moore - gone through a period of saving us points and now has fallen off a cliff into an area of potentially costing us. Have a seat on the bench.

EEL - I don't understand the Brayford like love in with him. He's absolutely bomb scare and jumps two feet taller than when he stands. Have a sit down.

Basham - Round peg in a variety of square holes. Good squad player. The next seats yours.

Done - Inneffective bordering on hopeless wherever he plays. But because he runs about a bit he can do no wrong for some people. Get rid.

Scougall - See Done

McNulty - Offers nothing. Nothing at all. Get rid.

Clarke - One acceptable game every 5. Wave goodbye.

We've got 6 days.

Or maybe we could play the style and personnel that got us to the top of the league in the first place? Jettison only the players that haven't aided this style, and bring in only players that complement the style and improve the constituent parts? We've got a plan B now (Hanson.).

Moore pulled of two exceptional saves and their goal was a first time shot from just outside the six yard box hit with a lot of power and accuracy. Moore isn't supposed to stay on one post all the time, unless the ball goes out wide and the ball came from the other side of the pitch ,so naturally Moore couldn't get across to it.

Agreed. I wasn't at the game but judging from the highlights Moore pulled off some good saves and wasn't at fault for either goal.

Moore saved us from losing 3-0 tonight, did you miss that save in the 1st half ?

We got to the top by dominating teams with possession, chasing them down when they had the ball and each player supported his collegues.

We are NOT suffering a BLIP in form.
We are sussed.
We are ponderous in build up so teams let us have the ball.
We are gash at the back when counter attacked quickly.
We have/had no Plan B.

The rest of the season will be as hard as the first half seemed a breeze.
Make no mistake this is at least a 4 horse race.
If we aren't in the first 2 forget it.

Against the mighty Fleetwood (arse end of the mighty Blackpool) Moore keeps us in it on our way to a 2-0 home defeat. Says it all doesn't it.

If Wilder does not send a nuke up their arses tonight he never will. Big week ahead for our leader.
Personally, i'd send a nuke up Wilder's arse for that selection tonight, given the previous 2 games.

I understand it's a little harsh on Moore but, as the title says, we've got to be ruthless. He's cost us in the previous two games, a more aggressive/braver keeper may have dealt with the big goof for their second goal tonight and, overall, his distribution is absolutely dire.

I don't know what you're obsession/irrational hatred of Coutts and now O'Connell can be attributed to but, frankly, it's quite bizarre. If you're that desperate to scapegoat someone, at least pick a bad player.

Never any hatred of Coutts actually, just criticised the mass wankathon over him in October and November when he'd only played well for 3 months out of 23.

O'Connell is fucking useless and a detriment to the defence, it really is that simple.

Couttsy's the main one I'd look at benching for a while - playing everything far too safe right now, & he's lost the aggressive edge that he'd acquired earlier in the season.

Don't hate him, admire his ability, etc. But it's in midfield where everything's breaking down - no penetration whatsoever at present.

We've got Carruthers & O'Shea; Wilder's got the luxury of trying adjustments to try & inject a bit of urgency in there.

Yes he is.

I think JOC's main criticism was that mix up with EEL for their second. But I think he looks most comfortable with the ball at his feet in comparison to EEL. Saying that the EEL->Coutts->JOC->Coutts triangle needs to stop and have more forward play and drive. Pinging balls side to side which both aforementioned centre backs did a lot slowed the pace down and allowed Fleetwood to drift left to right still staying deep.

Agree about Couutsys recent form.
Some might think he's been OK but he developing this habit of safety first and passing sideways.

Duffy has also been off form recently but at least he's still trying to make difficult passes and making runs.

We have some talented players and I'm sure Wilder will sort out some productive tactics.

Yeah, same goes for Fleck too I think (whose form's been good recently). He keeps making little bursts & trying to inject a bit of tempo, but Couttsy - the "go-to guy" who probably has many more touches of the ball than anyone else every game - is fatally slowing things down all the time at present.

difficult to make a forward pass when nobody makes a run

Scougall and McNulty would never get in my squad they are rubbish.
I would drop Duffy for O'Shea and maybe bring Riley in for Lafferty.
Sharp and Hanson up front and Carrurthers initially on the bench, when fit,to come on for Coutts or Fleck.
Wright in for Basham and give EEL another couple of games.

Spot on. The odd journey forward but he's playing safe much of the time. We need someone to take midfield by the scruff of the neck. Scougall isn't that man either.
