Well we need a new thread don't we.

Got a feeling Wilder's wish list might now include some power and pace after seeing the damage caused by their front guy stretching our back line.

We need to shell out on Bogle.

He might also be tempted to try and sign someone like Webster at centre half.

I'd love us to shell out for Bogle though. I'd hate it if Barnsley got him.

I can't see us getting Bogle, I still think our board would be too stingy to shell out almost 1 mil for a player. The lad from Carlisle might be a more affordable option.

You can sign as many centre halves as you like if the goal keeper is leeking soft goals it won't make any differance,,

power and pace have always been the missing elements from our attacking options. We've been doing well due to touch and quality. but a bit of pace would always be welcome

A million ?
Surely not ?

Our best players go for a million and they are playing at a higher level
He's totally unproven
Surely it's his right to move to a better placed club that will pay him more money, and, Grimsby cannot possibly stand in his way because he is absolutely certain to act like a cunt if he doesn't get his transfer
That's the way the transfer market works isn't it ?

Or is that only when were selling, are the rules different when we are buying ?

We've seen enough over the years to answer your last questions. Whether much has changed remains to get seen as we haven't had anyone try to snatch one our better players yet; Fleck, Coutts, Freeman...wouldn't be at all surprised if a Champ club had a punt at either of those.

Regarding Bogle, apparently Grimsby turned down an 850k bid from Rotherham so we have absolutely fuck all chance of getting him. No way we will spend that much.

There isn't, but if there was ever a perfect time for a defeat, it's now.

We'll be much more likely to strengthen and strengthen with quality.

And plus as much as it'd be nice you can't win every game.

I'm not worried.
Don't normally agree with your opinions but with this one you are spot on :)

I just hope we don't panic and end up with a other akinbadbuy for the hell of it.

Silver lining is that we won by a healthy margin last week... and in the last few weeks since the defeat at home to Walsall.

Silver lining is that we're top of the league

Silver lining is that everyone is surprised rather than expectant of this result.

Silver lining is that we've got a cracking manager and squad that we won't get many results like this

Bad result but let's not meltdown and go throwing daft money on shitter players to fill the squad. We have targets identified and unlike the past, we seem to be getting them in

It's very likely an off day for a group of players that have been on top of their game for most of the season.

If they were consistently good then they wouldn't be 3rd division players would they?

Definately a bad day at the office. A case of taking the foot off the gas maybe but nothing more than a kick up the arse. I'm pretty certain the players will have held their own inquest and drawn a line under it.

Most importantly is how we react in the next few matches in getting back to winning ways. I'm confident we'll bounce straight back and it's up to us a fans in showing the shirts we're right behind them 100%.

Now let's forget this game as done and dusted.

I think we could do worse than sign the lad from Walsall Bakayoko who has given our defence a torrid time on 2 occasions - only 21 and got power and pace and can only improve

Yep, wouldn't mind him and Oztumer.
