According to Alan Biggs Nottingham Forest owners maybe interested. Can't see him being interested in leaving us

Got to expect this. A manager achieving success will be an attractive proposition to those clubs desperate to reverse their own decline in fortunes.

Hopefully what Chris has created at United will convince him that his future is here, and that there's more to come for both club and manager. UTB

A Championship team wouldn't turn his head.

Don't think a lower league premier league club would either.

Until Man Utd come in for him we'll be fine.

These are the tweets from Mr Biggs...

1 . 'Some sources reckon Chris Wilder among those on radar of incoming Forest owner. Would be, wouldn't he? Still doubt he'd go...'
2 . 'Not boat rocking because this came to me rather than other way round...could hardly dismiss out of hand! But, as I say, panic ye not.'

He's ONLY reporting that some sources. Third hand info..

Hope our owners feel the same way, everything going well at the moment and CW & AK obviously enjoying it as well, the good thing is stories like this are welcomed by me because it means the owners are being reminded ( if needed) to make sure they support them and back them and make sure there is no reason whatsoever to leave, when we have a tough time and offers come in we cannot rely on him being a blade all the time, Wilder comes across as a loyal fella and if a tempting offer comes his way he will remember the support he has had from the owners, hopefully!

Alan Biggs used to be pretty good ,hes now turned into a boring prick with nothing to say.

I think that's very harsh on Biggs. He's as good a local reporter as you can get. He's informative, knowledgeable, and generally does a good job of remaining unbiased. I don't understand the abuse thrown about at local journalists, they're only doing their jobs. They get stick for passing on information, and stick for not having any to pass on.

Journalist speak 'some sources' = 'I thought' (but didn't want to get the flack for it).

Agreed .

Right now I think if virtually any club in the world came in for him and he'd stay . Don't underestimate his Bladey Bladeness. .... He's the real deal . He's not a Warnock or Adams type of Blade . He was watching us whilst managing other clubs , why ? Cos he's a Blade at heart , just like we all are .

Give him 3 or 4 years at the helm though and then maybe things could be different .

Surely mr McCabe and the board would offer CW and knilly an improved offer to stay if a club comes in for them?
Wouldn't be surprised if sooner rather than later we will here that our management team have signed a new contract...

Think that's more or less the fact of it Luke. Trouble is you never can tell what's around the corner. The key is the relationship Chris has with the directors, if that sours then the trust that's currently there will vanish and he'll seek pastures new. If we continue to develop on the pitch, get promotion this season, then spend time consolidating in the Championship while we strengthen the squad, then that'll be our chance to challenge for promotion to the Premiership. Wilder knows exactly what's involved, he knows what's needed (just look at the signings he's made this season), and both he and the Prince (cos surely it's the Prince who'll fund new signings?) will make sure that we go from strength to strength. Probably as good a time to follow the Blades as I can remember. UTMB!

Doesn't always mean a lot though.
Poyet has had loads of improved offers at West Ham and still wants to leave.

Forest might offer to triple Wilders wages.
There's no way we can afford that.
At the end of the day there are more important things than just money
Wilder and Knill will currently be on their biggest contracts in their history and both live local.

I think with them it's not about salary but more about whether SU give them the tools to bring in decent players.

Also agree Wilder won't leave for quite a while yet. He's currently living the dream and fulfilling a lifetime ambition, that's worth more than money.

You could spout this shite about anyone who is doing well, more chance of morgs wearing his mums nickers than that.

Spot on .

I tell anyone I know to get to as many matches as they can and enjoy what's happening . It's been a long time since we've experienced anything like this .

The fact is, Forest are still owner-less. Also, when you look at clubs like Barnsley - having a great season and about to destroy it by cashing in on Winnall & Hourihane for not very much money - you can see why some managers would jump ship.

I sincerely hope Wilder doesn't leave, and don't expect he will at this moment in time, but I'd be wary of over-egging his commitment to the club. The only loyalty in football comes from the people who pay to watch. For those working in it, it's a nasty, cut-throat business. There were plenty on here questioning his appointment after about 5 games. If we don't go up this year, I'm sure there will be plenty calling for his dismissal. If a bigger club comes in, you could hardly blame him for going.

Are you in touch with Utd ? ,and Wilder was a person who paid to watch. You have all the credentials for a journalist with certain news outlets I will give you that.

Why would he go to a club thats on its arse from one on the rise?

Nothing to worry about as long as he gets the boards support then we could go all the way with CW.

at this point, this is just a waste of a story. Hes going nowhere. A pointless thread.
