EEL - remains at BDTBL until summer

I think this is the ideal situation. We have EEL until the end of the season and can then assess what we require depending on which Division we are in next season. I really like the guy and he has been great for us in L1. Gives us that muscle in defence which we haven't had since Morgs got injured. Great in the air and contributed some vital goals. However without professing to be any sort of expert I just have the feeling that he might be found out a bit in the Championship. Having said that I never thought Morgs would make the step up to the PL and I was wrong about that. I am confident that CW/AK will know if he has the ability to play at the higher level. If so I am sure they will try and sign him but will not pay silly money. There are plenty of other fish in the sea if Wolves want silly money (and £3mill would be silly in my view!).

He might be found out but he also has the attributes to flourish. That's why Wolves have given him a long deal.

The unfortunate thing is, he's much more likely to flourish at a club where he's given space to learn by playing every week at that level. Wolves aren't that club just now.

True but if you have to go back fifty years to find an example it would suggest it's a rare occurrence.
Really sorry, didn't realise there was a time limit. How about John Terry, not the speediest of central defenders who also played a few games for England?:)

Much better, that's the one I'd have used.
