Just seen it on BP, the defender bundled him over but I didn't see any contract on his knee, he might have twisted it.

I'm a bit glass half empty on this injury from what I saw.
Didn't see the incident which put him on the deck but just saw him sat there looking at his knee quite anxiously. Physio was flexing knee for during treatment and he walked gingerly over to touchline to re-enter play on refs signal. Except he didn't, he just walked up touchline to Wilder and as play restarted he stood pitchside of touchline talking to Wilder whilst Scoogs prepared to come on, not attempting to join in.
I hope I'm wrong (I usually am!), but I've got a bad feeling about this one....
In his short time on the field he did look quality, fitting in seamlessly to the short passing tempo in and around the opposition box, having a decisive hand in Freeman's goal.
Here's hoping and fingers crossed etc etc..

The song for Samir. "He'll piss where he wants" is probably not what he really wants. He sounds like it's an incident he'd rather forget, but we've all done a nature wee in our time, haven't we?

32m 42 on the second half clock on BP. He goes down with his left knee under him but not twisted. No contact visible from the defender, who is on his right.

Fingers crossed.

I think he's landed on it with his body weight, hopefully just a sprain. It looks innocuous tho , which is worrying

Just seen it on Bladesplayer.

It wasn't much of a 'whack', he went over when he was under pressure and a bit off balance. Some contact but not much.

It looked like there was a possibility of his right knee twisting, whereas he simply fell down on his left side and landed on his knee.

Luckily it was his left knee he was holding.

He got up quickly and tried to play on for a minute, walking and jogging. When walking off the pitch he didn't limp too much and didn't look in any real pain. It looked like the sort of limp where you might have bruised/strained something on the outside of the knee.

I'm confident it's nothing serious.

I'm going for severe bruising requiring anti imflamatory injections and ultrasound or more seriously a nipped cartilage requiring an arthroscopy wash and trim. Between 1 and 3 weeks. Anyone know when and where he had the scan?

I believe he's having it today. We've had to wait until now as Guptas Bargain Scan Clinic dosen't open weekends and The Hallamshire out patients has been overflowing with the usual tide of unwashed fuckwitted drunken twats involved in gratuitous violence as per normal weekend.

I watched it again and he is caught off balance and his knee buckles under his and the opponents body weight.

I'm keeping fingers crossed because I've seen ACL tears caused by much less.

Might not be able to tell exactly what the problem is yet if there's a lot of swelling. We'll just have to wait and see. It's disappointing but he's a long term signing and if he's out for a few weeks we'll just have to cope. Shit happens.

I can handle the weeks, I just hope we're not talking months. Thinking back to Morgan and Diego both seeming pretty innocuous at the time.

Slightly worrying we've not heard anything yet?

No, as I posted four posts above, they may have to wait for the swelling to reduce before they can scan it properly. Sometimes it's so badly swollen you can't see on the x-ray picture what the problem is.

Ok cheers Bush. Still worried it could be a long one but there you go!
