Managers have never been sacked who have a bit of a career under there belt? Take CW been manager 10 years or so and as far as I know hasn't been given the boot? Wenger, Fergie are obvious ones anymore??

Pep Guardiola and err... Dario Gradi? :)

There's Eddie Howe at Bournemouth.

Aside from Wilder he's probably my favourite. A very capable manager who doesn't act like a twat or court controversy. Just a seemingly nice bloke who quietly gets on with the job.

Afraid not, JD. Pretty sure that Dario was sacked by Crystal Palace, although he officially left via that old favourite, mutual consent.

On the other side of the coin, Danny Wilson has now been sacked by the Blades, Pigs, Swindon, Bristol City, Hartlepool, Milton Keynes, Barnsley and Chesterfield. Can anyone beat that record?

Didn't he get sacked by Burnley after his brief stay with them, before he came back to Bournemouth?

Didn't Eddie How have something of a nightmare at Burnley ?

I could be wrong here but I was under the impression that he fucked things up very quickly and left before he was sacked ???

Whilst I like what Eddie Howe has done for Bournemouth he always struck me as something of a one trick pony/one club manager .

He resigned from Burnley citing "personal reasons", whatever that means.

I thought he'd had a spell at Burnley . I was beginning to think it was my memory playing up again so thanks for clearing that up .

For Eddie Howe read Keith Hill albeit at very different levels of course .

Wilder does have a habit of jumping ship though . Quite why that is is something that's slightly perturbing for me . Northampton to us is a move I understand . But Oxford to Northampton is rather more difficult . Likewise Halifax to Oxford . Or am I missing the obvious here ?

Well Oxford probably has the better overall infrastructure and potential compared to Halifax so I undertand that. But to move from Oxford to Northampton was a bizarre move.
Although I think he was mates with their chairman beforehand so that probably helped.

Personally he was doing a bad job. I wish some of the clowns we've had in recent years had the grace to piss off before they were sacked.

They wouldn't risk losing such a handsome severance package. And you can bet we forked out royally for Clough and Adkins.

Carlos has had a fair few I think!

I think the worse of them all was Robson. Makes me cringe to hazard a guess at what his severance pay was.
Didn't we get away with that by offering him another role (ambassador?) on the same money, he turned it down so no compo?

Guess that's it, the 2 Brian's (Robson and Kidd) v the 2 Nigel's - you decide. Who soaked up more I'll gotten gains than the others?
Can we stop this please, I'm feeling sick.
Breathe deeply,....... remember yesterday's brilliant result, ........everything is good... ....Go away bad thoughts.
