...in favour of Keith Hill

Both won four league matches, Chris takes us to the top of the league but Keith Hill beat Carlisle in the cup.

Bit of a pointless exercise it seems as it appears to be a case of who won the most games, whatever the competition or whoever against.

Oh well never mind, I reckon the only award Chris Wilder will be interested in is League One Champons 2017 ;)

In fairness, I'd have given it to Hill as well. Doing another reyt job with Dale.
Not saying he isn't, but arguably the job Wilder has and is doing at United deserves a bit of recognition.

The also seem to give it to the manager who has an exceptionally good month, months like this has become the norm for Wilder, he'll get manager of the season anyway, he also won manager of the year which is a much more impressive achievment

I'd say getting as many wins with a smaller club with lower budget etc. and amongst those wins, beating (at the time) top of the league Scunny probably just shades it for him. Wilder has just won manager of the year and I think he won a manager of the month earlier in the season didn't he?

December - Keith Hill
November - Graham Alexander
October - Phil Parkinson
September - David Flitcroft
August - Phil Parkinson

Interesting

Absolutely delighted Wilder didn't get it. The only manager of the month we need him to get is the one that covers our promotion.

Whereas the job Hill's doing doesn't deserve any...

They've even won 10 home games in a row.

Should Wilder get it just because he's managing Sheffield United?

He'll get manager of the season if we stay where we are.

Hard to believe isn't it?

No not because he's manager of Sheffield United but as mentioned elsewhere, he's took us from near rock bottom of the league to 3 points clear at the top...

and still hasn't been even given any recognition.

Slightly off topic but assuming we are there or thereabouts, it'll be interesting to see if any blades are picked in the League One team of the season or will they get overlooked as usual....

Apart from the award of Football League Manager of the Year for 2016.

...and basically who cares anyway.. if we finish as Champions he will be League one manager of the season, that's all I care about.

These awards are normally given out by wankers on Sky but I'll take my hat off to them for not giving any Manager of the month to CW, who has took us from rock bottom to the top, when Phil Parkinson has already got two of the awards awards, that takes some doing from Sky. :)

Fuck em anyway, CW doesn't want any of them poxy MOTM trophies, he'll want to leave room for the Champions league memorabilia in three years time. :D

Didn't he win manager of the year?

Personally I'm not clamouring for wilder to be in the spotlight anymore than he already is... I know he's s blade and committed 100% in his "dream job" etc..

But money talks, and I've seen it all before.. he's been voted the best manager outside the premiership hasn't he? Managing in league 2 last year and league one... surely somebody will come knocking at some point with mega bucks if he keeps winning, how could he turn down 50k a week as a premier league manager??? (What do they earn roughly, I don't know)
