I did a search for 'McNulty Footballer' on google. Apparently this fat f*cker plays for Tranmere Rovers!!
Hodor!

it seems the answer is no.

He's got 22 games to show he's worth a football league place. good luck to him. Will be a decent option off the bench as long as his "attitude" is ok

There are plenty of mentions of McNulty being one of the prime movers and shakers of the Fuck you I'm a star and I'm going to abuse my status club, featuring Freeman and that dumpling centre half we got from Blackpool. I'm sure others will add more to that.

Don't get the hatred at all ,he had a spell for us that showed he had was a good finisher ,and pre season he and Done were the best partnership. From what I saw pre season he was the one who did most in integrating the new players into the club. Hes a young lad who has some unfortunate friends and family who use social media and was once seen in a nightclub. Our best players were always in nightclubs its not an offence and he can play ,he can finish ,I hope he gets the chance and scores some goals to get us promotion.

Regardless of his attitude, I don't think he's good enough. In particular his poor first touch and inability to hold the ball up.

Yeah some on the forum seem to be a hybrid of the Salvation Army and Gok Wan. If he plays good luck to him - the naysayers can do one.

Happy New Year

You mean best players who are no longer at the club? It's been well discussed on here regarding the small core of wasters,Baxter included who had a disruptive, negative impact. Since Wilder shipped them out it's no coincidence Freeman has become totally focussed and a big assett.

I think Scougall and McNulty were a problem off the pitch but mainly due to Adkins ,they weren't alone in that. I think the other lot Magahey/Baxter/Adams etc were a different clique. This is only from bits Ive picked up so maybe wrong. The whole club was badly managed if truth be told.
The other thing Ive heard ,and seen to a certain extent is McNulty being a bit immature but popular and a good trainer.

He's never getting into the team. Wilder doesn't stand for non-professionals, then again nor did the other umpteen managers who had him.
It's just a matter of how quickly he can be jettisoned off the wage-bill.

Whilst agreeing with your main point,it would appear McNulty was more interested in converting pints than goals and with the removal of Baxter,Adams and McGahey along with the obvious man management skills Wilder posesses Freeman ans Scougall have grasped the opportunities their privelaged positions offer. They should be very grateful to Wilder.
IMO McNulty, having been looked at by,and not impressed successive managers shouldn't be here longer than it takes to move him on as a part ex. He can take Reed too .

McNulty has a "bad attitude" but we're happy to celebrate signing a bloke who throws piss off a balcony (presumably because we hope Carruthers is a better player). Interesting how football fans think.

I am genuinely staggered that you don't appear to see any difference between, and I quote "a bad attitude" and an isolated stupid incident.
If all the footballers who are guilty of engaging in a stupid incident were overlooked there wouldn't be enough players for football to function.

Carruthers pissed in a glass.

McCuntly has been extracting it from our club.

To be fair, I think he just filled it up, but your point is well made :(

Indeed he is a good finisher.

I am a little disappointed CW didn't keep him in August, but this could be part of the plan.

2 things will happen:-

He has come back to be sold/moved on permanently in the JTW
or, Wilder shipped him out as a lesson, and will have a go now at integrating him into the "group" that he always speaks of.

The choice is down to Mcnulty alone - it will be HIS loss, not ours as it stands now - but equally, United have everything to gain from a kid who knows how to finish.

I bet the players are thinking......"Fucking hell". We have a strong focused and happy dressing room that are a credit to the club but i fear this parasite will cause unrest. A leopard can't change it's spots and whatever he's said to Chris about "the new me", well i aint falling for it. Get shut pronto!

I've heard this before about not being able to play for 3 clubs but 3 years ago, Daniel Johnson had loan spells at Chesterfied and Oldham before signing for Preston in January. How was that possible?

His spell at Oldham was an "emergency loan" (now scrapped as of this season) which didn't count towards the 3 club rule.

McNulty is a good finisher. Summat wrong though why 3 managers haven't wanted him at the club.

I think we brought him back to weaken Bradford.

If you subscribe to the theory that the place alongside Sharp is up for grabs, then don't rule it out.

If you further subscribe that the best type of strike partner for Sharp is, Billy Sharp II, then McNulty is the closest fit.

Again, I wouldn't rule it out.

I doubt we will see the pair start anytime soon, but I will watch with interest if McNulty gets some pitch time off the bench to pair up with Sharp.

If his attitude is "bad", Wilder will move him on. No doubt. But in his latest interview on the subject, he actually stated that he was pleased with McNultys attitude regarding the recall. We will see.

If he can fire us a few goals in next 4 months, I'll take that.

Does anyone actually KNOW if CW did/does not want Mcnulty at the club or doesn't rate him? It seems to me that many on here are assuming that. IS there documented proof from CW?

CW made Freeman and Coutts available in pre-season, but that was assumed because he needed to trim the wage bill - for all anyone knows, the same could be said of Mcnulty - Bradford would have been paying a small loan fee for his services anyway with a view to a possible permanent signing.

Warnock always liked having a go with awkward players - perhaps CW has given Mcnuts another chance.

Sitters says he has heard that Mcnuts is immature - a petulant kid perhaps - all this doesn't mean he can't change and we should allow CW to make that call.

McNulty scored several goals for us in his first couple of seasons and was highly regarded by some. This when he was meant to have been bought as one for the future, playing without a regular partner and in teams that weren't as attack minded as we are now.

He then scored a goal in a match at the start of Adkins reign and Adkins got shut preferring William Henry Foulkes star striker Connor Sammon - that worked out well :-/

But of course we all know some Blades fans come from the school of thought scoring goals is not deemed a good quality in strikers (Blake, Beattie and even Sharp fall in the category of those that 'don't work hard enough )

All this 'bad attitude ' nonsense appears to have been bourne out of a few 'Internet rumours'

I don't quite frankly give a monkeys if he goes out on a Saturday night or he wears a cardigan, sucks on a lollipop etc, if he contributes some goals to assist with our ultimate goal.

If I were McNulty and had been rescued from Bradford where I had made zero impact and was probably being shipped back anyway, I would have a brilliant attitude towards my manager.

I think we all need to consider he had a decent partnership with Lavery at Portsmouth too - if Billy gets injured it's a positive alternative - no doubt he's a good finisher and possibly quicker than Billy - just needs to get in the same positions as Billy.

Apologised for being the subject of a major legal fuck up?
Genuine question, if you'd been falsely accused of rape, imprisoned and subsequently acquitted having served a significant jail sentence. Would you honestly feel obliged to offer anyone an apology?
You seem to forget he is the victim and has suffered far far greater hardship than Sheffield United or any of their supporters as a consequence of legal incompetence.
A bit of perspective required here I think SP!
that's a no then

i don't think he is a twat he had a lot on his plate.. however his lack of professionalism cost us big time.. we didn't win another game AFAIR..

Based purely on his comments on the website it appears that Wilder has primarily brought him back because he's currently short of cover. He refers to losing players to injury after agreeing that he could go to Bradford and learning from that experience - "we won't be making that mistake again". To be fair he also describes him as a good lad but it sounds clear to me that he's not "the answer", he's just an insurance policy and probably short term insurance at that.
