I like Bury. They are a good club who have hit hard times and don't get the support they deserve. Never once had any problem with their fans, either. 2 points from 45 is pretty bad but they are still 20th and I'd like to see them stay up. Never comment on here but regularly read what everyone else is writing. Agree that this thread is probably the best, as it provides a different perspective on the matches. Didn't go today but sounds like another battling performance and an excellent result, especially given the changes to the starting line up.

Our away record against Bury is now better than our home record against them over the six years we've been in this division.

The only Bury fan I know from my Uni days stopped supporting them and now supports Liverpool. All his facebook posts are about 'The mighty reds' and never mentions the Shakers at all!

I agree pal. Bury are a decent little club and it can't be easy, attracting and keeping fans with Man Utd and Man City only an hour away. There was the usual banter ("that's why you're going down" and "Bury's a shit hole") but fair play to them, they gave it a good go.

The last person was spot on about the stonewall penalty they should have had, was a clear handball and I'm surprised more of their fans haven't gone on about it.

That said they are a very dirty side and could have caused serious injuries with some of their 'industrial' challenges, maybe that's why Wilder rested Coutts and Duffy from off.

I lived with a Bury fan whilst at uni. He hated United since after we poached Warnock, and I suspect the Friday night "tie incident" didn't go down too well with them. He still hates United now, nearly 20 years on.
