He just ain't good enough is he?

Today has also put paid to the myth that we score more with him on the pitch too.

A striker with 2 goals to his name in January when being a first team regular. Absolutely pathetic.

If we had an improvement the football would be better too. The opposition know they can let Done have it and he won't hurt them - they don't do that with Billy.

Go and get the welsh one next month Chris.

Does one game really put pay to a "myth"?

Does it stack up if you look back over the course of the whole season?
There's of course Coventry too where we scored the winner after he went off. What does he apparently do that makes us score more goals? Cos I don't see it

We've been through this. Done starting offers far more from what we've seen, and bringing on Clarke (on occasion) can work well in our favour as an impact sub. When we start with Done and Sharp we regularly win, without these two we don't. January is just around the corner and maybe then Wilder can find someone with Done's energy and tiring of opposition but with the finishing aspect. They are hard to get in League 1 but I trust the manager. Fuckin' hell Done gets some unnecessary stick for being part of a winning team.

We've gained more points in games where he starts than when he doesn't. What's the point in changing right now?

We fuck teams up physically during the first half of games, Done is a big part of that. In the second we call upon other strikers to come on with fresh legs and we usually score a few.

What's the point in messing with things again?

Need to get a new Calendar !!

I'm sticking with the guy who's scored twice as many league goals as Leon Higdon and has a track record of enabling the team to get the victories I've enjoyed all season.

And I've got a frighteningly good record of being correct this season.
You have an agenda with Clarke, and that's fine. But Done isn't the answer.

So... two games?
And the rest of the season?
Show me the stats.

The only agendas I have are positive ones. There just happens to be a small number of players who currently bring nothing to the team and Clarke is just one of them.

Done must be doing summat reyt or he wouldn't be in the starting XI :). He's not getting on the score sheet but that doesn't overly bother me. He stretches the opponents defence, runs them ragged and knackers them out. Perhaps that's part of the remit CW gives him? I for one am happy that he's in the team.

You're only as good as your last game. Over the course of the past few months it's been enough but now teams are getting wise to it and it's not working. Luckily it's January and Chris will rectify it. Happened just in time.

Does anyone have the stats for Done/Sharp partnership and Sharp/N Other?

So we can either end the myth or use the facts?

"You're only as good as your last game" is nonsensical in this argument.

Which is why you won't talk about the stats.

Wilder is starting to haul Done off earlier and earlier, pretty sure Wilder is looking for another striker. Done runs around and works hard but he isn't a natural striker and in fairness is a pretty poor player. Now who is Chris looking at, Ched?

I don't see the point talking about stats when it concerns a striker who has scored 2 goals in 5 months. We certainly need an improvement if we are to be promoted.

I hope so... I think it'd work.

Brilliant! I don't need to talk about stats and facts because I've made my mind up based on my opinion alone.

Here endeth the argument.

Done's goal contribution has made my mind up for me.

If Done was to start every game from now till the end of the season do you think we'd get promotion? And do you think Done would get more than 5?

If either of the answers are no it's clear we need to improve

not working
Im sure weve won our last 3
WITHOUT DONE ON THE FIELD FOR THE LAST 2!!!

Teams are starting to work out how to play against us, Done not being able to score isn't helping. A better striker would. End of
