I got gave to me some old programmes a few years ago off a customer (1960's).
I've looked on Ebay and just a normal home game programme goes for between 1-2 quid, but i've got a few what i think would be weth a bit more but some aren't listed.

There's Joe Shaws testomonial game (with ticket)
Cec Coldwells testomonial (with ticket)
Around 40 reserve and youth games.
Around 40 away programmes (Including Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Pigs etc)
FA Cup Replay V Bury at Hillsborough, FA Cup Semi-Final V Leicester at Elland Road and Replay at Forrest.
Few England V Scotland with tickets aswell.
Any ideas??

Not sure myself. But there is a guy who usually stands at Doncaster Racecourse Antiques fair (next one is 27th / 28th Dec I think) who sells programmes, so I assume he buys and might give valuations as well. Might be worth going to see him if you don't get any joy elsewhere?

Surprisingly little if Ebay is owt to go by. I've seen some very early 20th century United programmes (Wardonia Blades era) up on there for £30-£50.

I know it's not a lot, got around 300 - 350 all together though. Got around 50 pig uns an all, 1 V Santos with ticket when Pele played. If i dint get owt decent for em i'd just keep em anyway. Apart from pig uns, don't mind them guin'

Can't imagine they'd be alot of reserve and youth uns knocking about though . .

I have derek dooleys testomonial prog with autograph dont think its worth a lot but i keep it rather than get a couple of quid

Is it Sharrowblade that has the comprehensive collection of United programmes etc. Guess he'd have as good an idea as anyone what progs are worth.

I have a Sheffield United play off final win programme. I'm told they're rarer than white dogshit or even rocking horse shit.
I anticipate it fetching six figures comfortably.

Somewhere out there may indeed be a flag and set of T-shirts emblazoned with "SUFC Play Off Winners 1997" (or 2003 2009, 2012).

Having said that, they might have been burned by the kit man within hours of each final...

Can you tell us what year it is Doc, so we know how long we have to wait?

I took your previous post as a snide remark. Apologies if I misread it. If I didn't I refer you to my response.
No, wasn't intended to be a snide remark. Just a joke in recognition of your joke.

Does anyone else occasionally ask the bloke outside the Railway;

"How much is the programme mate?"

Needs a sense of humour transplant, that bloke.

(Childish I know, and on a par with Peter Kay's going into Poundland and asking "How much is this........and this.............and this one.....?")

I think he'd sell more if he toned it down a bit, think people avoid him an gu to someone else because o' it

It depends on the clubs involved
The competition
The magnitude of the game

If the programmes are all from games involving South Yorkshire's clubs don't get too excited
There has even seen such a game involving any of our clubs
The programmes are a keepsake only and would be cheaper than Andrex to wipe your ass with

I am sure in my loft there are two...United win a league title...last seen 1982...cough..don't mention what league though...United win a cup...lol....No one alive who saw that in 1925...weth a few bob now.

I have a couple of shoe boxes full of them free if a genuine collector Blade wants them. Mostly home matches but the odd away ones such as vs Millwall September 1970 and Sunderland January 2005. Free to collector. PM me on here to arrange, I am willing to take them to home matches for a meet up and pass them on.

I had the 1926 Cup Final programme, not sure on the value. Donated to my son.

Bert has a large collection upwards of 3,000 mostly United. Not worth a fortune in monetary terms but very valuable to Bert.

I'm a United programme collector like Sharrowblade. To be fair the tickets are probably worth more than the programmes. Doubt any of your programmes are worth more than a couple of quid and the tickets £3-4 max each. The youth/ reserves maybe worth more if they are from the 70s. Big game programmes are collectable but common therefore not valuable. The majority of Utd programmes don't start increasing in value until you get back to the early 50s and before (mid 50s for reserves). The only "modern" day united programmes of any value are single sheet Anglo Scottish cup games from the 70s but don't get too excited.
If anyone has a copy of the single sheet Blades v Wolves programme from the FA cup 4th round on the 29th January 1947 then I'd like first refusal. You'll be sitting on a potential goldmine! It's without doubt the rarest post war Blades programme.
