Handball?

I thought it was, trying to be fair.

Frustrating as fuck though, with the ref seemingly giving the goal (didn't he?), then backtracking after getting surrounded by irate Warsaw players.

What about the O'Connell disallowed goal? I didn't see what was wrong with that.

Billy was a lucky boy, with his silly dive and the goal in off his hand. We've seen a pair of yellows dished out for less.

My thought at the time was that the ref have the Free Kick straight away but the players misinterpreted his gesture. I might be wrong though.

Tufty says he chested it in, they've watched it back. Believe what you will.

Wilder seems pretty convinced it was a genuine goal. It's probably the adrenaline talking mind.

Could clearly see it from the block A of the south stand. Billy pretty much shoved it up his shirt and walked it over the line.

I was feeling pleased about how we had got away with one when the ref changed his mind.

Here is the other one -

And yet if it was deliberate handball in an attempt to score a goal Sharp should have been booked.

That's what made me think it must have been disallowed for another reason

My eyes aren't what they used to be, I've watched it abut half a dozen times now, why was it disallowed

Because the referee was a useless fuck who thought it was his chance to shine in a big match, showing off to his assessor. For me he was as weak as piss - very weak piss that is. I could go on, but I'm trying to not get wound up about stuff I have no influence over.

Right wanker though.

...guess he gave the foul for Clarke riding on the back of their lad?

That is rubbish. Saw it on SSN last night and have replayed it several times. No handball

Don't forget, it's trendy and cool to agree with the opposition at the expense of your own team so you can be seen as fair and reasoned. Last night the opposition included the referee. And my contribution to the feelings of love and peace amongst us and our opponents is this: "I've never forgiven you for relegating us in 1981 - even if it was all our own fault for being rubbish - and last night you were lucky, crap, timewasting, cheating and twats. Fuck off!"

There, I feel better for that.

The first disallowed goal looks a perfectly good goal to me. Clarke's tussling a bit with a defender but nothing more than what goes in every box every time a cross is put in.

The 2nd, I've looked at it a couple of times and just can't tell if it comes off his arm or not as the resolution and angle aren't great. What nobody needs the benefit of the replay to see is that we lost a good 20 minutes or so of football last night to unpunished cheating time wasting. It's an incredibly easy thing for referees to get right yet this pig/dingle cunt defies belief in his ongoing refusal to do so despite the crown being more than generous pointing it out to him time after time.

Exactly; I don't see how anybody could decide whether it was handball or not, although maybe if the officials had been sat in the crowd they'd have seen it okay as many of our 'Rightly So' Brigade seem to have had a clear view. The only way the ref could have known was to be told by his mates the Walsall players, not to mention the shouts from the home-end of, "Play-up, ref; jolly hand-ball that was, old chap - please disallow it and show some proper Corinthian Spirit!"

In the glitterati of London footballing circles, it may well be 'cool and trendy'.

Remember this is Yorkshire and we aren't big on 'fair and reasoned'.

Agree with completely about 1981. We owe them........BIG STYLE.

Trust me, this Yorkshire Exile now living inside the ring of the M25 thinks 'fair and reasoned' is a load of old fucking horse-shit too.

Try telling that to the boring git sat behind me week in, week out. 'Never a foul' when we are fouled, 'the referee got that one right', he even suggested that the keeper wasnt time wasting last night . I nicknamed him 'Mr Objectivity' but I would swear he's a pig fan if not for the fact he's been sat there for the last ten fucking years.

I can't see anything wrong with either "goal". AARRRRRGGHHHHHH

Watching it in real time last night I thought Clarke shoved the defender before heading the ball in and billy scored unnaturally (midriff maybe)although I was on south stand g block either way I could see both goals had a chance of being disallowed and I had £250 on both teams to scores O Connells header first half and The penalty on the other hand Grrrr!!!
