I'd hope that the players pencilled in for Chezzy don't try... the fringe players do their best and we come through it injury free

As few as possible first-team regulars should play, but the ones who aren't regulars should absolutely try.

Ramsdale should try to keep another clean sheet.
Brown should try to show he's more than just a short-term bench warmer.
Wilson should try to show he's ready when needed.
O'Connell should try to get his place in the first team back.
Hussey should try to remind Wilder why he signed him.
Whiteman should try to show he's good enough if we get injuries to Fleck or Coutts.
Brooks should try to earn a more regular spot on the bench.
Lavery should try to show what he can do after Chapman did his bit today.
 
I'd go with much of the same squad as today. Rules of the shitpot cup state we can't make more than 5 (IIRC) changes from today so maybe rest the regulars for Sunday.
 
Seeing as both teams have nowt to play for, a reinactment of the infamous West Germany Vs Austria game from the 1982 World Cup finals would be a appropriate up yours to the idiots at the FA and Football League who devalued this competition.

Just pass it around the halfway line for 90 minutes.

Please no fans attand this game.

Instead of the half time draw to win a flight to Berlin, the prize should have been to play in the match at Grimsby.
 
Who would be your five to play then from the last fixture i.e. yesterdays game. I think i read somewhere that possibly Ramsdale, Reed and Chapman arent available though i couldnt swear to that. But if so and if i was CW id be tempted to go with:

Long
Brown
Hussey
Wright (1)
O'Connell (2)
Basham (3)
Fleck (4)
Scougall (5)
Hallam
Lavary
Mallon

And i would give Fleck, Wright and Scougall a first half each before getting them off. Id tell the lads to treat it as a light training session only and avoid any heavy challenges. Id give Bash 90 mins in the middle of the park to give him more game time in that position again and he has had a 3 match game ban fairly recently so is probably still fresh. Talk about a meaningless bloody game.

Seems that Reed might be available for the Grim match afterall as it is the weekend when the England U20s fly out to S Korea. Id put Reedie in and rest Fleck.

Up until today the BBC, Sky and several other places had it listed in tomorrow's fixtures.

If you type Sheffield United in Google it still says the match is tomorrow.
