We raise the sails on the good ship Britannia lead by our courageous and handsome leader Admiral Hammond and sail our island away from the greedy grasp of Fortress Europia and anchor just off the coast of the Free Lizard States of America..................Or just be a sleeping giant in the championship for a number of years as we have done in league one.

Despite the fifth car park protest of the season by ever increasing numbers of the Bramall Lane faithful, thoroughly cheesed off with Uniteds worst start to a league campaign ever, Brian the Blade stubbornly refuses to resign as first team manager.
Joint Chairman Kevin McCabe is powerless to sack him as Brians assistant, Beighton Blade, declines to reveal the whereabouts of the “missing” Freehold paperwork.
In unrelated news Marion Cotillard moves to Clay Cross ;)

So we've had confession time for things we've got wrong, boasting time for things we've got right, so let's plant this little time capsule to be bumped in November 2021. Can be about anything to do with SUFC, player, ground, manager, and what it/he/she will be up to in 5 years.

I'll start. Wilder will have just departed SUFC for England having secured a 12th place finish in our 1st season back in the top flight.
I bloody hope Chris Wilder is England Manager in 5 years

We win this

Fuckin ell somebody was in trouble a few days ago for looking ahead a couple of games and told to take it a game at a time, now we are jumping five years? somebody is in trouble.

"Sheffield United, the first English football club to be wholly owned by the Chinese government have faced heavy criticism from the local media for allowing North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to use Bramall Lane as a base for launching nuclear missiles capable of reaching Hillsborough stadium within 7 seconds.
However the majority of Sheffield United fans backed the move in a recent online poll".

WRONG! cockroaches can survive nuclear missiles so we wouldn't waste the material :D

we'll be in the Championship, owned by a Chinese "businessman" and it'll still take 25 minutes to get chips in the John Street at half time

Promoted this season or next and Hopefully firmly established in The Championship

Brian The Blade will be in charge of us as we head for a competitive game at Gainsborough Trinity........Foolishly after our drop the the confernece, Mr McCabe called Brian out during a Radio Sheffield phone in and told him to shut up and come and have a goo if he thinks he's better.

On a serious note.....I would be quite happy to be a well established Championship side again who can flirt with the top 8 of that division.

Hopefully in Europe.

Realistically, in the fourth tier due to the decline after EEL gets done after we reach the Championship playoffs in our first season back for not keeping his 12 incher in his pants.

Sharp will get sent to prison with 3 games to go this season, with Bradford pipping us to 2nd and Scunny beating us in the play off final.
Round the play offs next season, but with the autos out of reach, Wilder is sacked and Knill takes us into the play offs, which we lose again.
Promising manager Tony Hibbert takes us into the new season with catastrophic results, and is swiftly replaced by Owen Coyle, who turns the team round but the poor start means we just miss the play offs.
He takes us into the play offs yet again the season after, which we lose, again, and he gets the sack.
Up steps Simon Grayson, a man who surely can get us out of this league, he's done it loads of times! No, mid table, sacked.
Next up, Robert Page.

Surely things won't be that bad for us! You couldn't make it up!

Sheffield Blades, run by Chairman Jim Phipps and managed by Bob Bradley will be a mid-table Championship team. Louis Reed takes up the Xavi role at Barcelona. Lee Bullen's Sheffield Wednesday are battling to stay in the Championship.

I think we'll be a mid-table Championship side. That's pretty much our level anyway, top end of the Championship. I think the average position for us is something like 26th in the pyramid, isn't it? So that would be the stats choice.

Be interesting to see where the filth are. They'll either be Premier League top 10 or in League One.

"And as Chris Wilder steps out onto the balcony of Sheffield Town Hall to address the massed hordes celebrating the magnificent 2021 triple achievement of FA Cup winners, Premier League and European Champions, the League Cup defeat at Chesterfield back in September is but a distant memory"

Promotion ideally this season, or if not next season next season.

Then a couple of seasons of consolidation and finding our feet in the Champioonship again.

Then in 5 years time, we will be like we was a few years back. A respected and feared outfit in the Championship. Bramall Lane will be a difficult place to come and get a result, whilst we aren't quite good enough away from home to get the points to move up another level.

I think in 5 years time Wilder will still be the manager, one of the longest serving ones in the league, running a tight ship, the foundations will be rock solid,

I also think we will be run by the McCabes but with the other 50% owned by Chinese investors, and in effect will be the vanity project running alongside a big property company.

So it's a "Wilder In" from you, eh Brownie?

Makes a change;)
