Now we've got Simon Moore and EEL (I.e. take away the first 3 games), we're the best team in this league

Be nice to see us win a title n all, too young to remember the fourth division

UTB

Bold statement after today's performance. Great that we can win when playing badly, but jeez MK Franchise were bloody awful.

We need much more of a cutting edge if we're to start talking of titles...

For now, I'll settle for stalking the top two teams and keeping our heads down!!

Bert thought the same as our manager Mr Wilder . . . . . . they were a decent side , far better than their league position indicates.

Indeed. We didn't play "badly" either. Not at our best but far from bad.

Maybe, but I don't recall them having more than one shot on goal or stringing more than three consecutive passes together.

After an early goal, they went on the back foot, which should have been our cue to go in for the kill. Most of the first half they showed little attacking intent.

We didn't and nearly paid the price...

It was a good tight game against a well organised side . Especially difficult as we were very short (in more ways than one) upfront .

A draw was their intention and they very nearly got it. To describe them as "bloody awful" is ludicrous .

Agree Bert.Take away the blatant diving and the rough arse challenges that were going in (exactly as they were on their last visit) there was a fairly decent side there despite not giving us too much trouble at the back.
A very satisfying win for us where we had to dig in a bit......we're no longer the soft touch of this league that we have been.

Will be proved wrong by the statistics but their one shot on target would lead me to believe they weren't very good...

Maybe your benchmark for a good side is different.

They were there for the taking today and by the narrowest of margins we scraped a W.

In fairness their one shot on target is a reflection of how well we handled the pressure they put on us. They looked very capable, and even dominant at times.

You might rely on statistics to tell you if you are watching a half decent side, but Bert uses other methods.

Thought their back 4 looked solid, but they offered nothing going forward, and we looked terrified of going in for the kill...

The early goal should have been a springboard, but looked more like a millstone.

Early view from apologies Raygiv(although it is only one) Taken from Porktalk where the Plastic fan was sucking up to the pigs.

"Sounds about right, not seen us win an away game now for 553 days :(

sheff utd weren't that great but they didn't need to be, very comfortable and knocked it about well. They will challange this season."

Pig fan then asks this.

"You managed to get a seat in the capacity crowd then?"

Plastics fans reply.

"Just over 20,000 there today, it is very impressive for league one. Not met a more mardy bunch of fans though."

Didn't think we played that well today (well not by our recent standards anyway)
But still nice to see the Plastic fan say that we will be challenging this season.

Got a great start, didn't / couldn't push it home, missed Dones energy and pressing up front

Didn't push em back and hold em there

Only one missing was Matty ...........

Can MK plastics "supporters" be called "fans" or is that an insult to the other real football league clubs? It still angers me that a club that was basically formed and agreed on paper to play in the English football league without ever earning that right to do so.

I will never recognise them as a football club, nobody should.

Totally agree, the likes of Accrington Stanley are a true English football club, they and many other local small town clubs fought year after year to survive. MK dons are the disease that should be ignored and never accepted into the mainstream football way of life.
