What a pleasure it's been reading these the last few weeks. Last season was dire, it was downright fucking depressing and if the games and results weren't bad enough, reading the views of Fleetwood, Bury, etc. confirming just how shit we were was the ultimate piss take.

I'm over the fucking moon the way Wilder's gone about transforming our club, couldn't be more pleased for both him and the rest of us hard core supporters. It really does put a spring in your step when we're doing well, and it's a great compliment to the way we're going about it when you see how much respect we're gaining from opposing sets of supporters.

Ultimately I don't give a shit what others think, but it sure does feel good when the rest of the league appreciates just how good we're beginning to look.

I sometimes find it difficult to be objective about the way we play and reading the opposition's view helps me.

Last season, that was painful, because it made me realise we were worse than I believed. This season, it's making me feel we're better than I dare hope.

That's how it should be, a derby. Yesterday was a top day, start to finish. A cracking game of football, end-to-end both teams keen to win it. Rivalry between the fans but then completely sound outside of the ground, no silly folk. Many of their fans seemed like top blokes. Keep it like that and there'd be no need for a police presence, early kick offs in derby matches.

I was there yesterday in the Bradford end, behind the goal. In fact, I imagine I'll be on the highlights, the one not celebrating when Bradford score!

A couple of things have come out of yesterday, besides the game which was magnificent for a host of reasons.

However, firstly I have a new found respect for footballers. Let me finish.... obviously you will see Billy's celebration for the first goal, which might be seen as aggravating the crowd. However, the constant wave of abuse given to him before the first goal was awful! So many people calling him every name under the sun whenever he got near the kop. That's the side you never see on television and you will only see the celebration. However, I would ha e done the same if you got the abuse he did!

Second half, Moore suffered the same fate. He had 45mins of being called everything and having bottles and sweets thrown at him with an alarming regularity! I've never sat that close to the pitch before but I say fair play to them for dealing with the abuse so well, particularly Moore who did nothing other than just clear the bottles and sweets away when he got the chance.

Never sat in the 'non-blades' end of a match before. It's awful, don't want to do it again! What I will say is, they appear to generate a much better home atmosphere than we do generally. They didn't stop singing for 90 minutes so do deserve real credit there.

I can accept that for now BUT they haven't had to put up with the crap we have over the last few years. They have been building and doing well and have a cup final to crow about.

You know we will be much louder and prouder at the Lane when the fayre on the pitch promotes it AND the opposition is worthy enough : is vocal too. e.g.

Charlton
They were bloody good atmospheres - no one can deny that
