I really like how calm and composed Wilder is. His team are delivering what he is asking of them at the minute and most importantly and most refreshing, Wilder himself is delivering the style of football that he said that he wanted us to play in his meet the fans interviews.

Just watched the Scunthorpe game, I know it's highlights but they looked second best and deserved to lose.

BILLY SHARP, WE'VE GOT BILLY SHARP!

He's as good as any striker in this division and he wants us to go up as much as any Blade in the land.

Let's hope his distractors cut our captain a bit of slack now. He's always scored in bursts, we all know what to expect from him, but he'll score 20+ and hopefully nearer to 30 if he keeps fit in a decent side IMO.

Huh, at least 2 of those goals were off side.

At least? That suggests you think all three could have been ruled offside.

First one? No chance.

2nd one? Possibly. Would need to see another angle, but I think not.

The third goal had a hint of offside with done at the far post, but he wasn't interfering so crack on.

Wilder pointed out that Duffy was identified as a danger man and Shrewsbury did everything that they could to man mark him out of the game therefore to here you speak so glowing of his shows that he must have had a real blinder if this is the case. I am a huge fan of Duffy.

He kept finding space. First half they were clipping him but second half they couldn't get near hm. The way he was also closing them down was also brilliant given the flair he brings to the team. Top,top attitude. Really pleased for him.

Heard him talking in stands before game at Stocksbridge. He obviously loves the game and is was really refreshing to hear !

He's a key man in the way we play. Three proper footballing midfielders in the same team at S2. Who'd have thought it, eh?

Whoosh! I think everybody understands that comment without an explanation, did I ever say I have an off beat sense of humour my comment was in homage to the previous game where you may remember 4 of the 8 goals were off side...is it starting to click now...is it? Never mind ajoke is always funnier when at least one person doesn't get it!

Oh I get it now. Hee hee hee. Perhaps a :) might have made me small mind get it quicker :)

It's a great day for those of us who have always appreciated our top scorer and all he has done and continues to do for us.

Not such a good day for those carrying big whopping agendas.....

I've been one of those questioning Billy's performances, Tyler and I can certainly say I have no "agenda" with regards to Billy. The only thing I want him to do is score a shedload of goals in a winning team and help us go up. If that's an "agenda" then so be it. Those (including me) have on the whole made observations about his form that stem from what they see, nothing more, nothing less and his form thus far has been below par. I don't believe anybody has questioned his workrate, his commitment to the cause and his desire, just his ability to put away the chances that come his way and he has missed these chances on a number of occasions this season. In my view, for whatever reason, he's looked out of sorts.

I was delighted to see him score twice last night and having seen the highlights, am even more delighted with the nature of the goals, the first demonstrating real quality and the second a real sniffer type half chance with little time for thought and not as simple as perhaps it looks. I'm probably happier with the second as opposed to the first as it demonstrates what Billy has been - someone who can put away a half chance when it comes his way. This is the Billy Sharp we all want to see and hopefully, last night will be the springboard for his season and he gets back to doing what he's done throughout his career, score goals. If he does, I doubt anyone will criticise. I've wanted this lad to be a hero at BDBTL since he was 16 years old and hopefully, this season will be the one where that status is achieved.
