Its got 0-0 written all over it. They will play a striker at centre half and he will be a rock.

Any win would be nice but would be great if we could score 3/4 again tonight with Billy grabbing a couple as a confidence booster

No win since 3rd September, 2nd bottom, only one fit centre half...I'd have no confidence whatsoever in the United of last season to go down there and snatch the 3 points, but I do this year.

As Wilder said, got to keep it up otherwise we'll get done. No easy fixtures and all that.

Hopefully we can grab another 3 points, optimistic their CB problems will allow us to get lots of chances tonight

Banana skin time......or at least fixtures like this have been in recent years. More confident now that we will get the business done in games such as these. Hope we can get an early goal or 2 and just control the play but I suspect it will be a tough, scrappy affair and fancy them to have a slice of luck along the way. Reckon we will have too much for them by the end though.

1-3 (Sharp, Fleck and Lavery with a late goal from the bench)

Cheers Roy, agree with most that in recent years I'd have been pretty apprehensive about this one.

Even with their problems a quick look at their results shows they've not lost many by more than one goal, so it could be closer than a few are expecting (although an early goal could change all that).

In the past 3 seasons this would have a 1-0 home win written allover it. Let's change that.

Our biggest threat is thinking we can just turn up and get three points. But I can't see CW letting complacency creep in. And for once, they haven't appointed a new manager just before they play us (which seems to happen a lot to us).

this is more of a test than the weekend, these are the types of games we used to lose and switch off for.

would be nice to see us change that trend this season and kick on from the weekend, show what we have and that we turn up regardless of who the opposition are, time for the blades to show the Wilder way, works on all levels...

Agree with previous sentiments, under previous managers we'd have gone 1-0 down fairly early and be chasing the game, we'd endeavour to get an equaliser and be hit on the break and go 2-0 down, we may have nabbed a goal late on to give us that familiar hope of a draw, only to be disappointed. This has a different feel for me now, teams that have got out of this league have gone to struggling teams and stuck 3 or 4 past them without getting out of 2nd gear.

Shrews 0-3 Blades for me tonight.

Sharp to miss 4 penalties, 16 offside goals, EEL and Jake Wright to collide with Moore when he comes for a cross, resulting in 3 injuries and an own goal as the ball hits the back of Moore's head...

1-0 defeat and lets just throw in a couple of red cards for Fleck and Scoogs to round off a truly terrible night for Wilder...

Alternatively, a thoroughly professional display and a 0-2 win with Billy and Done scoring

You forgot the bit about CW getting a six month touchline ban for twatting the ref.

As other's have stated, this is one of those fixtures that would have been a nailed on defeat over the past few years.

We'll see a bit more tonight as to whether the tide really is turning for the Blades.

I've also been to Gay Meadow and was highly disappointed Shrewsbury didn't embrace it and call the new place The New Gay Meadow, anyway poor at set pieces what oods EEL to score and a Blades win?

hmm 9-1 anytime 28-1 first goal, I like the look of that.

I think most people on here seem to have the game spot on.

Last few seasons we would go to Shrewsbury and get turned over. This season this type of game will define us. A game we are expected to win but won't unless we are really hungry for it. Doesn't matter if it's a scrappy miserable 1-0 tonight, 3 points are really important.

Really want Billy to score tonight. You can sense his dissapointment at the minute at not being on the scoresheet and having those ruled out at the weekend must have really got to him so it would be nice to see him get a goal or two. I do think at times he maybe puts too much pressure on himself to deliver and feels he's let everyone down when he doesn't score so a brace tonight would do him the world of good. If we put in another performance anything like Saturday then i'll really start believing but i'll settle for a scrappy 3 points if need be. I'll go 3-0 United Sharp, Done, Duffy or EEL hatrick. :D

Went last season and would be happy for same result again tonight with Billy scoring again
